@Voxel a little sample of what @D Hindley could cook up in a day's worth of time. To give you a feel to the newer members ;)

It's still jaw drop gorgeous, and you throw in the time it took for him to do it all? It' just mind numbingly crazy to me.

For anyone who is itching for some imagineering while they wait for Sorcerer's Aprrentice, the One Sentence Comp is going on right now with just a little over 24 hours until the current prompt is due! Anyone can hop in and propose an idea! Hosted by the fantastic @D Hindley

Also, unless I've misunderstood, anyone who wants to can hop in one this season of So You Want to Be an Imagineer! The format is a bit different making the competition more open. Hosted by the one and only @TheOriginalTiki
I also have my battle of the bad attractions, which no one has made anything for yet and has 4 days left before round 1 is over.
Bumping these - yes! Cross advertising ftw :D

Pointing this out because I am catching up on dsny newscast videos and most of the comments seem very pro pixar pier.
I don't thematically it's a mess, but I'm going to be honest it's not that big a deal at this point. DCA is already so disjointed they might as well. Paradise pier also doesn't hold the same nostalgic appeal as say the Great Movie Ride closure. Additionally all the parts of Paradise Pier the public loved gets to stay: California Screamin', Mermaid, Midway Mania, and the Funwheel.

interestingly enough a lot of the arguments were the ones I always expected to hear, just surprised to actually read
. "wasn't disney enough"
. "not special enough anyways"
. "will be really cool"

After Mission: Breakout I think theme went out the window. Ironically Pixar Pier is closer to California -- at least Inside Out takes place there;)

I thought the same thing. When Space told me they were making a hype thread I was not expecting something at this level in so little time! It’s actually pretty exciting!!
A good mix of old nostalgia and new folks learning about its history -- that's also why this announcement/discussion thread was put before the competition rather than during -- so new players can get to know the comp/other competitors given the almost 3 year gap between seasons.

One Little Spark...
I think the "adventure" theme was Zweiland's idea. And, I think he did the posters.

Red did some graphic and editing work.

I know for a FACT the QR stuff was Red.

I did the video. I remember being excited because I owned the rights to the song (I still do)...

That song is by Chuck Folds.

You may know his brother.
