@TheOriginalTiki
Fantastic submission Tiki! Great idea in using the under-used True Life Adventures. However, I'm not sure it'll bring quite the draw that an IP based land would. I'm all for original lands/lesser known IPs, but the draw obviously would be smaller. I like the deserts of the south, but the deserts don't exactly hold that much animal life, which is kind of one of the main aspects of the park. More detail would have been nice on the attractions, but other than that, solid submission!
@MonorailRed
Spectacular submission Red! Zootopia = Perfect IP IMO! Ever since I heard how well Zootopia was doing, I knew it would make a perfect land in Animal Kingdom. Plus the separated aspect of the location will allow the land to not intrude on the themes of the rest of the park. Also, FANTASTIC use of the train re-theme. It ties into the IP perfect. I can imagine pulling into the area and seeing the lights of Downtown Zootopia. One thing that could have been clearer with your land was what was indoor and outdoor. Your maps were somewhat hard to follow based on your descriptions. Other than that, amazing concept!
@DSquared
Great concept DSquared! I believe that Jungle Book should definitely have a place in Animal kingdom, however a whole land so far separated from the park I'm not sure about. I feel the Jungle Book would fit better in Asia with a small C-Ticket or D-Ticket dark ride. But that aside, your additions were great and the two dining options were fantastic. My one other note would be... would this be based off of the live action version or animated version? Because you used images from the live action version. While I feel like the environment of the exteriors of the land would be great with the live action theme, I feel like a ride based on a live action remake is a recipe for disaster.
@IDInstitute
Good submission IDI! First of all, I feel like (similarly to Red's submission) your theme works well with the park. It would allow a theme drastically different from the rest of the park to be present in a park where it fits without intruding on the themes of the other land. However, you said you could barely find time to do this? You have 4 days? I'd say this project was lackluster at best, especially considering you had the most time to do this project. I mean, every single other person who had less than half of the time had a better project. I know this is going to sound harsh, but your projects have been VERY lackluster post-merge. Should you get to the finals, I'm not sure if I would vote for you, as it really seems like you don't care. That's just my two cents.
@Matt7187
Great submission Matt! I feel like this land is kind of... weird. How does a cartoon version of Disney animals really add to the park's conservation theme? While you can argue Zootopia or DSquared's Jungle submission doesn't either, I feel their themes and ideas blend much better with the park. Your submission's cartoon feel doesn't have a place in Animal Kingdom to be honest. It feels like a lazy attempt to create a children's area. Now, I do agree that a children's area is needed at AK. However the attractions can have a theme that fits with the rest of the park and contribute to the park's message.
@Flippin'Flounder
Solid concept Flippin! But, why, why, why did you have to extend Africa? First of all, it would end up feeling disjointed because of the distance between the two lands. Also, I had similar feelings about the cartoon theme! Overall, a little disappointing.
