Even Dakota had a less-than-positive reaction to this. And "Dakota boy" is positive on everything SDL.

I don't mean to harp on the negative. In fact, I've been mostly positive on everything else. And this doesn't look terrible, in DHS it would probably pass. But this area is in such stark contrast to the rest of SDL that it kind of sticks out like a sore thumb.
Oh okay. I didn't know such a thing existed. Anyway, I still anticipate long lines.
It'll have a bleak future if no one shows up (aka Paris). If the crowds jam the place full, the expansion plans and resort build out will hopefully continue on pace.
I'm forseeing lots of waiting in my immediate future...
Yes, hopefully they'll expand on pace with attendance. The CCP must ensure that it happens. But I'm worried for the first year, especially since Soarin' isn't fully running (and has had lines as long as 4.5 hours).
I read on one China news site that they interviewed thousands of Chinese, and 2/3 said they wouldn't visit. And the majority reason people gave was fear of long lines. So long lines are a good sign, as long as people aren't becoming too upset by them and then deciding not to visit again. That's what I meant by a bleak future. Sure, there are lots of people in the area, but they need happy guests (who will return) to be successful in the long run.
I'm going to try to do a capacity calculation thing soon, because if Spirit is right and only about 30,000 were there each day for trial ops... the lines should not have been as long as they were.
Anyway, may the power of Fastpass be with you. And while you're stuck in a queue is a great time to take pictures! I'm partciliarly interested in the queues, since those are one of the few things I can't find many pictures of on instagram, twitter, etc.
The stage equipment is for the Grand Opening and the emblems read as such.
What the emblems say makes sense, but why exactly are the red curtain things even there? All they're doing right now is blocking the castle. Are they hiding something inside of them? Are they covering special equipment for the opening ceremony? I'm just not sure why they are there at all.
I swear though, if they pull down one of the sets of curtains to reveal a statue of Bob Iger... I will NOT be happy.
