It looks like a solid park, but I'm okay with most of the changes/ new attractions staying in Shanghai. Pirates looks amazing, but I wouldn't give up DL's version to get it; I'll be happy if Star Wars incorporates some of that nifty tech. Pan's pretty good, but kinda ruined for me by the lousy sequel music, (but DL could definitely use that neat Skull Rock splashdown effect). The nonstop kazoo music on the spinning Pooh Pots is beyond awful. The maze and castle walk-throughs look like once-and-dones, and, Crystal Grotto would be nice if it used AAs instead of statues. Couldn't care less about the jet packs, and I'd pick Space Mtn. over Tron.Okay so am I the only one who thinks that this park is coming together really nicely and has some REALLY good attractions that need to find their way to the US? (I'm looking at Tron, the Jetpacks, Pirates, Roaring Rapids, and Camp Discovery)

this video provides the entire queue area of Pirates and the best quality so far of Jack Sparrow transformation effect (starts at 4:19). Also, Jack Sparrow AA 's finger movement is amazing. The mouth movement is perfectly synchronized to the Chinese he spoke too. Truly amazing details! Thanks for whomever posted the video.
That climactic ship battle really loses its magic when the ride stalls. Timing is everything with these screens. Still love it, though!

Correct me if I am wrong but I am pretty sure Shanghai is now the only place which holds a nighttime spectacular in which Robin Williams voices the Genie.
You forgot Disney Dreams.Until World of Color the original comes back... if it comes back.
You forgot Disney Dreams.

What about the Tokyo fireworks show/projection show. There was a bit where Gaston and the Beast were fighting on the castle.So.. between the original castle show at WDW, WoC, Dreams at DLP.. are others finally tired of these simple montage shows yet?
I liked the early MK show, minus the 'send us your photos' segment, because it was a bit creative about what they were doing with the animations, etc. WoC had the awe of the fountains, while the actual film stuff was pretty weak.. the intensity of the light and artistry of the fountains really carried it. Dreams at DLP looked like a nice integration of the various techs.. but never really 'bit' me.
The format reminded me a bit of Remember.. from DLR as well.. which I felt kind of dragged on after the first few segments, but the punch of several and the overall show kind of makes you forget the flatter spots.. plus it was walking through a story for the most part that at least had some framework that seemed interesting. That and the technology integrations it brought with the park immersion really made it a great show.. so the dragging on a bit could be overlooked.
But this latest show really does nothing for me, and seems to play on the elements I'm finding less and less attractive.
1) Water Screens... they served a unique purpose in F!, but I'm not a huge fan of them as just a temporary screen
2) The movie montage format - I get incredibly bored with this quickly.. I mean 5mins into watching this show I was already skipping ahead. The lack of some interesting plot/connection and the timing really just bore me quickly.
3) The projection tech on the castle looks cool.. the lasers, etc... but it just seems to lack any real draw besides being an attractive backdrop. The stuff they are projection mapping is like just dancing background vs itself actually being compelling. I actually found some of the segments right at the end, after the movie segments at least a bit more interesting with the projection mapping.
4) Content that really has no placement value besides being the popular movie. When the star wars sequence showed up, I threw up a little in my mouth. It's just like seeing a big movie screen without any real placement value.. wth..
Anyone else feeling the same? These lets replay the movie clips of our favorite movies without any real reason besides they are the popular movies? No real continuity or reason for the pieces to go together as a show? I found the mickey and the opening the door at the start of the lion king thing cute.. but past that.. I mean I couldn't sit there and just watch the entire show straight through.
Now I love the original movie characters, and their different music, etc.. but can we actually get a show that keeps you engaged and seeing something that is unique.. instead of just dancing light structures around movie clips?
