Silly question here..But, when the movie The Rocketeer came out in theaters did they have a Meet & Greet character for him at The Studios?

Although for old school people like myself I think this would be great to see them have one.

I don't know about a meet n greet, but he is immortalized in front of The Chinese Theater at DHS.

BTW, I agree with Servo that he would be an awesome character to meet.

LOVE The Rocketeer, was my favorite superhero movie until The Dark Night. A meet and greet would be great and the guy really does deserve a spot in DHS along with ________ Tracy.

I remember a whole museum dedicated to The Rocketeer at MGM Studios years ago. There were all kinds of props from the film in there. Dummy me didn't take any pictures though.:( Or maybe you weren't allowed to take pictures. I forget.

I remember years ago I was walking past the Location now known as Pizza Plant. There was a Statue of the Rocketeer outside. Well I approached it, keep in mind I was young at the time and it moved. So I guess that did have a walk around character

Agreed. It is a Fantastic movie! Great musical score also. They also used the score for the fountain at EPCOT. Was timed perfectly to the music.

Hey, if Disney want to do something Indy elsewhere, I would welcome a Rocketeer stunt-show, but the problem would be that no one would know who he is.

We did get his autograph too, but I'm not sure where that book is right now - I think my daughter might have taken it with her to her place.

I remember the Rocketeer walk-through exhibit well. I was at MGM with DH and a friend and they had apparently already sussed it out, but stupid me didn't realise that all the costumes were in cases EXCEPT one. :hammer: I stood there reading the info plaque below a display when suddenly the Rocketeer reached out for me - I panicked and ran out of there pronto. :D After that I was always looking over my shoulder to see if the Candid Camera guys were hanging around! :lookaroun

I knew Tracy had his musical at MGM and DL at one point (you can see it on youtube), but I want his ride to be built! Though that'll never happen.
