DAY 8 REVIEWS
Nevarro. It has the perfect backstory: formerly a hotbed of crime and villainy reformed by Greef Karga (Carl Weathers) into an up-and-coming trading port. On the surface, everything is well, but there'd still be pieces of "adventure" beneath the city to explore. Bounty Hunting, Mandalorian Creeds, and even a former Imperial Base could all be attractions seamlessly blending into the backstory.
Also, it'd sell Macarons.
This is a great one! Plus, it has Mando stuff, so I'm sold!
Gonna go controversial here: Canto Blight.
It might have been a dumb scene in Last Jedi. But a casino/theme park planet with a hidden underground rebellion against the rich, amoral folks selling weapons to the First Order and the Resistance while rich smugglers cheat their way through poker games with the galaxy's elite. There is a TON to explore there and a ton of really fun visuals to mess with. Plus, plenty of opportunities to tell stories from any era of the saga. AND we could follow up on the cliffhanger from the Last Jedi that Rise of Skywalker ignored because of the complete and utter lack of cohesion or planning in the sequel trilogy making what happens in one movie be essentially meaningless in the other two movies.
This is an interesting one which I really like it! It would really bring a new feel to the parks.
Seprantfo
A futuristic city planet
Love the name! The style sounds great too.
Hoth: The famous ice planet from The Empire Strikes Back becomes a new Star Wars land. Through a controlled environment, Hoth would be eternally icy and cold (which could help counter the hot weather in California or Florida). Set under the shadow of Wampa Peak, guests can visit a remote alien village that double as a Rebel Alliance base, though the Empire aren't far behind. Attractions include a roller coaster take on the battle against the walker AT-ATs (with the ride vehicles allowing guests to ride backwards!); and a Wampa spin on the Matterhorn; and a Tauntaun tour across the landscape using a track "bouncy horse" ride system.
Great choice! I would love to experience all this! Especially the coaster!
I proposed this in a comp way back when but an Ahch-To replacement of Tom Sawyer Island would be neat. It would add more height to the Frontierland area without the financial burden of a large scale attraction. Complete with hiking trails, a few animatronics, and scenic views of the Magic Kingdom
This is a cool one! I like that you went more the scenic route. Definitely a cool idea.
So,
Star Wars has plenty of great planets. So many varied locales known from movies and television. Personally, though, I like the idea of setting Galaxy's Edge in a brand new planet. It not only frees up designers to play around with what can be done using the potential of
Star Wars, but also gives a chance to add a little to the grand tapestry of that franchise. Thus, I propose....
In the farther reaches of the galaxy, it was discovered the planet Gyanboros provided a key access point for trade through the Outer Reaches. It was just out of the range of deadly celestial storms and offered a safe connection point to a moon that housed valuable metals. When the Galactic Republic ruled, they negotiated a treaty with a collection of merchants who would oversee the maintenance of the planet and its trade operations while the Republic would offer protection. Thus the planet ran, with that collection of merchants forming the first Council of Gyanboros. As time would go on, however, the Council would grow more corrupt as they profited off of the risks others took for those valuable metals. The capital city grew into a place of gaming and wealth, crushing down the lower classes with the weight of their credits. When the Galactic Empire came to power, the Council was more than willing to play ball to maintain their way of life.
Since then, however, the Council does not have the same protection they once had. Gyanboros has grown into a more dangerous place, as revolutionaries fight to free the people from the iron grip and mercenary henchmen of the Council.
Wow! This is amazing! The backstory is brilliant and I love that this would have more of a dark feel to it.

Project Avengers
A new MCU book series marketed towards the family market. The books involve a new team of heroes trained by the MCU Avengers.
Very fun! I would totally read.
Jungle cruise! Have rotating cast of Skippers and have each book be a short-ish story of them at some stop along the rivers. Mostly comedic. Almost like a sitcom in book form but with the occasional Pulp Adventure qualities mixed in.
I absolutely love this! I would read this over and over again until the jokes got old (which is never).
Journey into Imagination!
In this young adult book series, follow along with Dreamfinder and Figment as they help light the way with one little spark! They'll travel the world and help out young people in need of their creative spark, facing the challenges that come along the way as they create all sorts of things from their imaginative dreams. Along with providing readers with fun and fanciful tales, these books could also help to inspire them in their own creative pursuits.
Love it! It helps spread creativity and positivity which I think is awesome.
Disney’s Penelope and The Twelve Months
Originally a short film that was written and cancelled on the 40s, Penelope and the 12 Months will follow a little girl as she travels through time with the aid of a magical grandfather clock and enters the realm of Mother Nature and the 12 personified months. This will be a 4 part series covering 3 months in their respective seasons.
This is very cool. I love the story and how you put a spin on a cancelled film. Speaking of, here are the reviews for the other projects.
In an alternate world, where Tron would replace the Energy Pavilion and GoTG would go to MK, the Space Pavilion would be radically transformed. The main building itself would become at least three stories tall; ground level being where the main shop is, plus a couple of interactive exhibits and a QS. 2nd floor would be where the main exhibits are. Also present here is a dark ride that simulates space travel; much like Doug's In an Ocean of Stars ride at DisneySky. 3rd floor is where a TS restaurant and a Omnimax theater would play 4D films exploring the mystical nature of outer space are located at.
Wow! This ambitious, but in a good way. It really helps capture what Epcot wanted to be.
Much like Outbound, the theme of DCA would change instead of the name. Continuing where Phase 1 ended of, finishing Hollywood Backlot, replace A Bug’s Land with a Hollywood expansion, and creating some new dark ride for Hollywoodland, Grizzly Peak, and Paradise Pier. And if the ability to rewrite reality did exist, I would change Radiator Springs setting to the Mojave Desert in Southern California or whatever it’s called in the Cars-verse.
Great choices! A wonderful idea.
Oswald's Hopping Halloween (You said create a holiday movie or special, you didn't say Christmas specifically). Oswald the Lucky Rabbit is throwing the town's biggest Halloween Party yet, but this has drawn the attention of a ghoul, a warlock, and a vampiress who begin to pick off the guest one by one to turn into soldiers for their own personal Army of the Hallowed. Can Oswald save his friends and stop these monsters before it's too late?
This is great submission which I would love to see come to life one day.
As part of revamping Fiesta Village into an old Alta California village, Dragon Swing and Waveswinger get knocked down and replaced by a steeplechase roller coaster themed as a horse race set by three ranch hands who may or may not have created this race as a means to win a bet against the other two. Winning horse will be random because the ranch hands would try all sorts of tricks to slow their rival's horse down.
Yes Yes YES! Knotts used to have this type of ride and I would totally want it to make a comeback!
Disneyland's variant would become Tatooine; complete with a pod race through the canyons and the Dune Sea, Star Tours, a Bantha-drawn trolley ride across town, and The Resistance sending you on a mission to sabotage The First Order's attempts to excavate a Sith temple.
Hollywood Studios' version would take place on a swampy coastal port on a subtropical moon set during the OT. Complete with Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run, Star Tours, a dry-for-wet dark ride exploring a nearby reef, and an escape from an Imperial base; sort of like Rise of the Resistance but you actually come face-to-face an enemy that's actually imposing.
This is great! Tatooine is a classic planet, so this would make everyone happy
