i loved getting soaked! there's just something about walking around soaked from head to toe that makes ya feel like a rebel!! well, maybe that's just me...my mom never liked it when i'd try to get wet in my regular clothes...such as at Donald's boat or the little fountain things at epcot that you always see little kids splashing around in! although, me and my sister would often go to the 'jumping fountains' near the imagination pavilion and try to 'catch' the jets of water. and of course we would always get soaked! no siree, nothing like walking around with your hair matted down and your clothes clenging to you! lol! :D

LOL! thanks...i usually take that kind of comment as a compliment! i know, i know...i just made myself sound even stranger! but don't get me wrong though...i don't walk around TRYING to find a way to get wet...that's not what i was saying at all! but sometimes it's enevitable to get wet. all i was trying to say was when it rains, i don't try to avoid it...if i have somewhere i wanna go, i don't let the rain stop me. well, at least i wouldn't if my parents were the same way. when it rains, they hightail it to a ride or store, or some kind of shelter until it stops.

I also prefer to get soaked! I feel like I'm melting most of the time in Florida anyway, so a nice soaking usually does the trick!

I just love getting soaked!! My hair hangs so attractively, and I've always been into wet T-shirt contests. Nothing like sitting around shivering in the air conditioned attractions/restaurants!

i'm with you. you could get soaked and feel like a rebel or wear a poncho and look like some goober. would james dean wear a poncho? i don't think so. would clint eastwood wear a poncho? only one of those cool mexican ponchos and only so he could hide his guns and shoot dorks in those bright yellow plastic ponchos. nobody who's cool wears a poncho. jimmy, clint and i prefer to get soaked.

I've now been soaked in DL and WDW. Forget the wimpy ponchos. Now that I travel with a wife and child, though, things are a little different. We go
off season, when it doesn't rain everyday. We check the weather in the AM and plan our day around that. We've only been caught off guard once.

We'd never used ponchos until this year. It rained and rained and then rained some more so we had to give in! Two strollers, one wheelchair and five adults, all draped in Sea World blue! The kids have had great fun with them since they've come home - tents/sleeping bags/sleds - they were worth the money!

I was at world showcase when it started to pour rain. So I don't mind getting soaked. It is also funny watch the wave of yellow ponchos.

Glad to see as many free spirits. I personally love to walk around in the pouring rain like it is nothing (Which it is) and to see the people in the yellow baggies looking at me and my brother like we areout of our mind...

LOL i'm with you MCMike37! When I was little, I liked to hide under those palm tree leaves for a couple of seconds when it rained, you know the big ones that are close to the ground. Did anyone else do that?

Trust me guys, in 20 or 30 years, walking around soaking wet will lose it's appeal. Enjoy it while you can...been there, down that, would rather stay dry now. :)

you're too much, marcia. i know what you're saying, though.

you get older, you choose comfort over being cool. are you at the point yet where you choose to be so comfortable that you embarrass your family when they're with you?

i must admit that i've worn my bright yellow hawaiian shirt with the big, royal blue dragons on more than one occassion. it's so soft and comfy, but extremely obnoxious -- which, i suppose, is only fitting.

Ok, I'm the only person (so far) who voted for hanging out in the gift shop. I am not nerdy enough to wear a poncho (no offense to you poncho folks) but I don't want my wings getting wet either. So I have a good excuse for shopping, I think.:)

Tink - I voted with you. I prefer to hang out in dryer surroundings. I try to carry an unbrella if rain is probable. The poncho thing just doesn't work for me.
