Getting soaked is all part of the fun and who can beat that when it's hot and sticky outside...sometimes it's a relief (or embarrassment in certain instances) to get a good soaking.

Marcia, I'm with you. The appeal of being soaked to the bone has lost it's appeal to me. We have worn our ponchos during a torrential downpour at Magic Kingdom. It compared to the rains from Tropical Storm Barry we are experiencing her in Florida!! Yep, I live right in the path of dear old Barry. The price you pay for living on the beautiful Gulf of Mexico!

I don't mind getting wet, but I do recommend buying a cheap throw-away poncho at Wal-mart, K-mart, Eckerd's, etc. before leaving for the World.

By the middle of the afternoon, when it usually rains, I'm pretty much soaked in sweat as it is so the rain is a welcome change and I just consider it a shower with my clothes on.

I don't especially like getting soaked, but it's better than carrying around 4 ponchos because no one else wants to carry them. I do have 3 ponchos from Disneyland Paris though. When we wear them, people always ask if they're really from Paris. And everyone thinks it's really cool.

I have to say that I would only vote for getting soaked in Florida! I wouldn't fancy it in DLP - thats a seek refuge in a shop situation. Its just too damn refreshing in WDW though.
