I'm not sure why this little gem doesn't get more attention, but it should! DH, twin daughters (14 months), and I had the pleasure of eating here last Saturday night for the first time and we loved it! It's tucked in beside the Plaza Ice Cream Parlor at the end of Main St. USA. We were seated w/in 15 minutes of our reservation time and were given a fantastic table w/ a fantastic view of the castle. Our waiter was prompt and paid special attention to our girls needs. Babies have no patience when it comes to waiting for dinner! DH ordered the Reuben and loved it. I orderd the Plaza Club and was happy with it. It was par for the course as far as a club sandwich goes, but I sure did love the fries. Actually, my favorite thing from the meal was the Tomato Soup that came w/ our girls' meal (cheeseburger that had already been cut in half and put on 2 plates for the girls). It was so creamy and delicious. Even they loved it! DH and I both got sundaes for dessert and they did not dissapoint. The hot fudge was not your average, runny hot fudge sauce. It was thick, warm, and delicious! Overall, we were very pleased w/ our experience and have decided to make the Plaza a must do on our next trip!

I think the reason it does not get more attention is it does not have much bang for your buck when you are on the dining plan. The average entree, drink, desert at the Plaza will run you about $21. If you walk across the street to Crystal Palace dinner is $37. That being said, it is a great place if you are paying cash.

We go here and pay out of pocket, that saves us a credit for CRT. We love it here. The sandwiches are really good and a nice change of pace from the typical burgers/chicken that we would get at a counter service.

We enjoyed it. It's a nice, quiet place. Almost seems like a secret place. Probably the most inexpensive table service restaurant in the parks.

we eat there often as well, it's been my daughters favorite place since she was little. i'm not crazy about buffets so for me this is the best place to eat inside mk.easy to take a group of picky eaters since it's basic american fare done well and straight forward without being yet another chicken nugget burger grease meal like at so many of the venues. my daughter loves the bananna split and my granddaughter loves getting cookies with milk in the little tea cups to finish her meal. it's one of the few places we get dessert.

We have an identical thread elsewhere about The Plaza...so surprised to see the exact same thing again....

To add my 2 cents, it's great for the normal eater, but it can not accommodate any type of special meals here (no carb, for example)....

But the sandwiches are filling, and the Banana Split awesome

The food is decent- nothing spectacular, but better than some of the other MK table service restaurants. The sundaes are outstanding.

My favorite thing about it is that it's very, very easy to get an ADR here, even at the last minute.

The Plaza is a nice break from the park, especially in the heat. The food is good as well as the service normally due to its size. You have a lovely view of the crowds on Main Street and of Cinderella's Castle. As a choco beast they have wonderful chocolate shakes.

Be sure to go to the bathroom before entering the restaurant!!!
Esp if you have little ones...the bathrooms are outside around the bend:shrug:
