The Plaza Restaurant At MK!

Decent sandwiches (for the most part) with a few hot entrees....but it always tastes great, and they have good ice-cream options for dessert. Also, its easier to get reservations there than almost anywhere else in the Magic Kingdom -- walkup/standby tables (except for peek lunch hours or really crazy-busy days) is normally less than 15 minutes for a party of 2. People that work there are super nice, and a lot of them have been working there for years. Think small-town coffee shop (or that diner on Once Upon a TIme) and you'll have a pretty good mental image of the experience.

Ah, that cheesesteak with the steakfries. Not bad on the prices either for WDW.

Love the interior. Feel like Judy Garland in St. Louis or Harvey Girls. LOL! It is darling in there. Really the essence of Main Street and just a nice place to be in the park.

We like the Plaza because it is simple. We wouldnt use a TS credit though. We use the TIW card. Because of that, its well worth it for us. After the discount, its not much more than a QS meal in MK. Besides, you cant get the brownie sundae unless you eat in the restaurant!!!

Eaten there twice. I love the atmosphere and the food has been excellent! The first time I was having health issues and HAD to force myself to eat something because of some meds I was going to take once I got back to the room. The sandwich was SO GOOD I hated having to leave most of it. But I will say it's no longer "overlooked" like I've read about in the past, it's been packed both times I've eaten there so be sure to make an ADR.

We are eating there in May, mostly due to using the TIW card it will be like $2 more than a QS meal, including tip! Never been there but the simplicity of the food and how pretty the decor looks is what led us to book it. We're already at breakfast at CRT and lunch at LTT and we needed one more dinner and we're going to be at MK so we decided to give The Plaza a go. I wouldn't use a TS credit on it but with the TIW card it works out perfectly for us! Plus, the brownie sundae looks AMAZING!!!

Good Day Folks.Well Ive just been reading a review of the above on Disney's Food Blog today. This is a place Ive walked past many a time, but never been in.Has anyone tried it,and what did you have, and how would you rate it,lunch or dinner.??? 3 questions for the price of 1. ;)

Honestly? I loved it! It's CHEAP for Disney, the food is quite good AND you can sit and look at the castle from your table. If you are paying out of pocket, I highly highly recommend it.

Only downside is last time we were there we had to wait for our table with a buzzer. The waiting area outside was infested with gnats, which was unpleasant.

I recommend it...your typical sandwich place menu, but in a more elegant/nostalgic setting.
The dining area is SMALL however...which can be both a plus and a minus for some folks visiting. The plus being it makes the dining more intimate, and a minus because of the smaller size the longer wait for tables sometimes.

The one and only time i ate there i have very fond memories of.
Not every day you have lunch with the original actor who played Dreamfinder and talk shop while looking out the window at Cinderella Castle.
Quite a memorable afternoon, that was, in the Park for me.
Thank you Ron !

Let me just say.. This place is a Hidden Gem in the MK!!! I cannot say it enough. We dined there on our last day of our trip in September to use up some extra credits we had left and boy am I glad we did! I had the Plaza Club sandwich and fries.. SO Delish!!!! The fries there are unlike any I've ever had anywhere! They are truly something to brag about! All 5 of us loved our meals and we all said we would definitely return. I would rate it a 10 but I'd probably pay out of pocket since the prices are fairly low. We only used our credits because Disney accidentally gave us all an extra TS credit so of course we didn't want to waste them before heading home. We dined there during lunch time around 2pm.

Hatter I am the same way for some reason I always walk past it and never been in. I was thinking about going this year we have don't Tony's the past two years and both times have been iffy so we might have to give this one a chance beside it is the only table service we have not done in MK.

Planning on having lunch there in June ~ can't wait! We are off property, so paying out of pocket, but I feel like we get our money's worth :)
