The Passion

I've had no desire to see the movie since the time it was announced. I still am not interested in seeing so I won't be buying it. I'm sure there are those who are great believers it's a great experience seeing the movie, but since I'm not Christian it wouldn't really do anything for me.

Like Scott said...seeing someone brutally beaten and tortured for hours on end is not my idea of entertainment...

(The back corner of the Freaky Room is that exception)

It's HarmonioUS, NOT HarmoniYOU.

I see no real value in the picture, unless you truly believe the gospel it preaches.

I don't believe it, so I don't need to see it

That's exactly how I feel about Fahrenheit 9/11

If you are a believer I can picture it being emotive, however I lost my faith long ago and so just found it unrelentingly violent and depressing. I can't remember the music.

Fair enough, I am a bit of a choreographer-anorak in that I sit in the cinema thinking,"mmmmmm what could I do to this piece of music" sad eh??

No different from my other choreographer friend - she has used musical pieces that I have pointed out to her.

My secret weapon at competitions is WDW music! Noone else has it, I've used Reflections Of Earth, various bits of Fantasmic and Spotlight On A Dream so far and judges always comment on my original music.

I didn't see it at the cinema but I think it'll be a rental for me. Is the soundtrack good? I'm always on the hunt for music to choreograph to for my students, I imagine its very emotive.

The soundtrack is really great! At times it has a Gladiator sound to it. I'm not sure what kind of choreography you can get from it, but I'll leave that one up to you...all I can do is recommend it :D

We bought our copy Tuesday. I think dad started watching it, but I've yet to see it again. Once was enough to do me for a while. I think it's a very important and nessecary movie for the Christian faith in that I think it brough a harsh reality to what happened (even though it WAS Mel Gibson's veiw, I strongly believe the event happened very much like that). So I definately think the movie served its purpose...I'm just not sure when I'll be ready to watch it again.

Just bought it yesterday. Full Screen version on DVD. I have no desire to buy a widescreen version when my TV is not of the widescreen type. With the size of my TV, the widescreen movies get too tiny to enjoy.

Now I just have to make time to watch the movie. As is stands, I think this film is relevant. The beating that some have referred to is emphasized to show just how much God loves us. That the cruelty often shown by man kind is overpowered by the Grace shown by the Savior.

Besides, it will be nice to watch a "Jesus" on the screen that does not remind me of Ming the Merciless. . .
