The new ride actually loads ontop of where the turntable used to be. The queue (for when enough people might show up) takes you straight through where the track used to exit loading and go into the ride, across to the farside the turntable and you load about halfway through the original turntable section (roughly `how are we going to use lightning`)
The new unload area is between where Figment used to appear as a rear projection cartoon on a circular screen (at the end of the science section) and the section that had Figment looking through a magnifying glasss, with Dreamfinder in a magicians outfit. About 1/3 of the original track was removed, making the ride 1/3 shorter. I believe, if I remember correctly, the old unload area is about halfway across the Imagceworks/giftshop floor as it is today. Thats progress for you. And I don`t even want to start on the original Imageworks....
