The Orange Bird has returned to the Sunshine Tree!

So I was walking through Adventureland today and stopped by the Sunshine Tree Terrace as usual- when low and behold- I spotted the famed Orange Bird back in his home! He's been absent for decades from the small flower/tree area behind the counter. But now a small figure of the bird is perched up high amongst the tikis and tropical flowers. I'm not sure if this was a permanent addition from the refurb a few months back.. or just a CM's antics. Either way, a little piece of Adventureland magic has returned. Nice--that looks like one of the figures sold many years ago. I got the plastic bank still in the package at a shell shop in Venice, Florida back in 1993 (they had a bunch of them).

I was happy to hear that they are making a Vinylmation Orange Bird. The character is also seen quite a bit on Japanese Disney merchandise.

It's not a Vinylmation. It's a bank that they used to sell back in the 70s. I took a picture of mine at the Sunshine Tree Terrace two years ago:

The CMs working there at the time had no idea who the little guy was. It looks like they do now.
