So I was walking through Adventureland today and stopped by the Sunshine Tree Terrace as usual- when low and behold- I spotted the famed Orange Bird back in his home! He's been absent for decades from the small flower/tree area behind the counter. But now a small figure of the bird is perched up high amongst the tikis and tropical flowers. I'm not sure if this was a permanent addition from the refurb a few months back.. or just a CM's antics. Either way, a little piece of Adventureland magic has returned. Make sure you check it out!

Nice--that looks like one of the figures sold many years ago. I got the plastic bank still in the package at a shell shop in Venice, Florida back in 1993 (they had a bunch of them).

I was happy to hear that they are making a Vinylmation Orange Bird. The character is also seen quite a bit on Japanese Disney merchandise.

I bet an employee found him and put him there. Similar to the hidden mickey in the haunted mansion that is done by employees with the dinner plates. Long live the Cast Members.

It's not a Vinylmation. It's a bank that they used to sell back in the 70s. I took a picture of mine at the Sunshine Tree Terrace two years ago:

The CMs working there at the time had no idea who the little guy was. It looks like they do now. :)

Sweet! :sohappy: It's great that the Orange Bird finally has a presence in the MK again, even in a such a relatively subtle form.
