Yes, Jambo and Kidani are separate for booking windows. Kidani is way smaller but at least we can get in there at 11 months!!
AKL only has one condo association. Think of it as one resort with two buildings. Owners of any AKL contract should be able to book Kidani or Jambo at the 11 month window. I would contact member services if the website is telling you otherwise!

I thought so. I have been doing a bit of research because I am thinking of getting a small contract either at AKL or the Poly. Or nowhere.

FRIDAY APRIL 14, cont.

We showered, and then ate our pizza on the balcony watching some animals enjoying the quiet evening. We also discussed the next morning plans.
We would be rope dropping HWS and once again my sister talked me into purchasing the evil G+.

SATURDAY APRIL 15, 2023

I was up about 6:30 to purchase G+ then jumped in the shower so I would be ready to book a LL at 7:00.

I got SDD at a time a wanted. Sort of. I would have preferred a smidge earlier but I wanted before 2:00 and I got it.

Come to momma!
IMG_9149.jpeg

Time stamp was 7:39. Early entry began at 8:00 but they were letting people in. AND, they were not holding us behind a rope. We were free to go queue up. It was such a lovely stress free experience.
First stop was Rise of the Resistance. We turned the corner by Baseline and I was expecting to see the overflow line. But it was empty. So was the regular line. I thought maybe it was not open yet but the CM’s assured me it was.
It was 7:46 am and this said 10 minutes I believe.
IMG_9150.jpeg

We walked all the way to the preshow only pausing to take this:
IMG_9151.jpeg

IMG_9152.jpeg

IMG_9153.jpeg

When the doors opened and this scene was in front of us no one moved. The entire group just stood there in awe. It must have been everyone’s first time.

IMG_9154.jpeg

This part is still so cool. And large.

IMG_9155.jpeg
Look Finn👀see him? Kinda blurry I know.

8:15 at the unload
IMG_9156.jpeg

My sister was blown away. So much so that when we walked out and saw there STILL was not a line and the wait said 20 minutes, she said, “let’s do it again!”

Who am I to say no?
No pix (or pis @wdisney9000 ) but some interesting tidbits. When we entered into the Storm Trooper room all the people ran and jockeyed to get the best spot for a selfie and did not move. We didnt even get another picture. Instead we were first in line out of there. Also, you hear different dialogue depending on which car you are in or what path you take. Riding back to back these differences really jumped at me but I could not tell you what they were.

While we were waiting for ride #2 I did get the unicorn…
IMG_9157.png

We decided we would rather go to the Blue October shows so I did not attempt to get it.

Next stop….
Well nothing could stop us,
IMG_9159.jpeg

Hidden Mickey AND a palm tree!❤️
IMG_9160.jpeg

After MMRR we went to the ladies room and I couldn’t remember if I got a picture of my popcorn bucket to show you. So I took this…
IMG_9161.jpeg

And no, I had not been drinking…yet😂

The night before we hemmed and hawed about purchasing an ILL for GotG for later that day. I thought the 1:00 VQ would still be open at 2:00 but I was not positive (This is why I wanted a SDD LL a bit earlier). Once again, my sister convinced me to throw money at the decision. I am glad we did because then we did not have to stress about getting to Epcot at 2:00 and hope the virtual queue was still open. @gerarar does a fabulous job with updates on how long the VQ’s stay open and it had been trending toward a longer window but it was a Saturday sooo…

However, in the thread about GotG people have reported buying ILL’s for a park they will be hopping to and the app only showing return times after 2:00 (hopping time). I can assure you this was not the case for me. Once we decided to purchase the ILL I went on G+ and all the return times were for before 2:00.

Periodically I had been checking the GotG ILL return times. I was waiting for the time that would work for us.

Meanwhile, we did ToT standby and it was about 30 minutes but only because one side was not working.

Blurry🤦🏼‍♀️ Still not drinking
IMG_9335.jpeg

Booked this after our elevator mishap while my sis was getting a Joffreys. I don’t drink coffee and prefer something a bit stronger than caffeine😉 Also, if my sister loved RotR she would enjoy Oga’s!

IMG_9166.png

IMG_9167.jpeg

Drink?
My sister said “sure, it’s after 10:00.”
IMG_9168.jpeg

Cherry Blossom

Bacardi Superior Rum, Luxardo Cherry Liqueur, Pineapple Juice and Grenadine
$14.50
IMG_9169.jpeg

I did finally purchase GotG ILL. At $17 per person ILL is how I felt🤢🤑
I also asked the bartender who made our drinks what was going on with rope drop today and why the park was so empty. The answer was because of the race that morning. The park was open because the runners ran through it. And they kept it open for them but most runners go back to their room to shower and sleep.

Lucky us!
Also, the more you know.

SATURDAY APRIL 15, cont

It was 10:30 and we were hungry. I was jonesin’ for Baseline charcuterie but they werent open yet. Instead we ordered one of my favorite sandwiches from ABC Commissary,

Buffalo Chicken Grilled Cheese Sandwich

Grilled Sourdough toasted with Buffalo Chicken, Monterey, Provolone, Cheddar, and Cream Cheese served with a side of Buffalo Sauce and your choice of Side
$11.59
IMG_9173.jpeg

We split it and it was so good!
We still had our drinks from Sunshine day bar but ordered a couple fountain drinks because it was pretty hot out and we were trying to stay hydrated. We downed a couple diet sodas then refilled our cups halfway with lemonade and added the rest of our Cherry Blossoms to the cup. So so good!
We were going to watch the muppets but could not bring our drinks in. We sat outside in the shade and tried to drink but we could not down them as we were full from lunch and hydrating.

This guy was parked next to us😂
IMG_9175.jpeg

Finally I had an idea. I dumped the popcorn and cleaned my popcorn bucket which now become a drink holder.
IMG_9176.jpeg

I poured both drinks in and put the empty cups in my backpack. *Disney Life hack alert*

After the muppets we repoured our drinks and sipped away as we headed to Oga’s.
IMG_9178.jpeg

IMG_9180.jpeg

My sis got a Jedi Mind Trick which is my favorite but I really wanted a beer.

Jedi Mind Trick

Ketel One Botanical Grapefruit & Rose Vodka, John D. Taylor's Velvet Falernum, Bols Blue Curaçao Liqueur, White Grape Juice, Lime Juice, and Grapefruit Bitters
$17.00

Gold Squadron Lager - Blue Point Brewing Co.

Golden Lager with Lavender and Plum Flavors | ABV 5.0% - IBU 18
$13.75

(How’s the glass @Laurenciaa ?)

We drank and chatted with the people around us and the bartenders. Sis loved it.

Next up (after the ladies room) was A.S.S.
IMG_9182.jpeg

Then it was almost time for our SDD LL. People say you can tap in 5 minutes early. People lie. The CM asked us to step aside and wait. Which we did without complaint, in the sun, the blaring sun. After about 90 seconds she couldn’t stand to look at us sweating anymore and ordered us into the line and under the canopy. She called it pixie dust. I called it 180 seconds early.
IMG_9183.jpeg

IMG_9184.jpeg

IMG_9334.jpeg

Picture fail.

It was now 1:30. I really wanted to visit Baseline but instead I suggested we take the Skyliner to Epcot so we could be there at 2:00. The GotG VQ was still open and I was hoping to snag us a BG.
IMG_9185.jpeg

Not pictured, huge storm clouds rolling in.
Oh no, not again…

These both sound AMAZING! I seriously need to make a stop at the ABC Commissary one of these days...but I keep ending up at Baseline with the pretzel and that amazing charcuterie board!

We made it to the CBR station and then they shuterdown due to lightning. It was the same manager as Thursday when I got caught in the rain and he had already called for busses to Epcot so we were on our way quickly. We may still make it for 2:00 🤞

My Sis and I boarded and there was a family, parents with two strollers and two young kids, perhaps 2 and 3 or 3 and 4. They were struggling as they had two small children, two strollers and TONS of packages. When they finally made it on we gave our seats to their kids and chatted with the parents. They admitted that on their last trip they brought their double stroller but it did not fit in the Skyliner so this time they brought two strollers. And since they were just a skyline ride away from their resort (Yacht Club) they had done all their souvenir shopping that morning. We took pity on them and I laid down the law, “when we get to Epcot, I will take one stroller, my sister will take the bags and you guys get your kids and the other stroller.” They tried to defer and said they would wait until everyone got off but we insisted.

Our line up waiting for us:
IMG_9186.png

And at 2:09 I was able to secure this:
IMG_9187.png

410 minute wait would put our callback around 9:00. Epcot closed at 9:00. One protein spill and we would not make it so I was glad I had purchased the ILL. (But annoyed that it has come to this!)

We started to walk towards world showcase and my sister said, “to Canada right? For a Moosehead? It’s your tradition.”
Schitts Creek Love GIF by CBC

Tears of joy that she remembered and respected the tradition.

IMG_9188.jpeg

Then our friends from the bus walked by. They thanked us again and told us we had the right idea with our beers. We offered to buy them one but they declined.

Then we headed to Frozen passing this…
IMG_9189.jpeg

IYKYK

As we waited to board our boat a supervisor CM was talking to two Norwegian CM’s. It looked pretty serious. When the supervisor walked away the other two looked at each other and squealed in delight. Full on squeal. I asked if they got a raise. No, the supervisor was taking them to the mall after their shift. 😂
Priorities.

I hammed it up for the ride photo but just look like a dweeb. 🤷‍♀️

Hey! I'm a Mark from Wisconsin... not the famous one from SSR, sadly.

My little bro and I visited the World in November 2020 to celebrate Dad's 80th bday. Unfortunately, he stayed home cuz he didn't want to wear a mask at all times in the parks, so we went without him. It was our first time there just the 2 of us. He said he'd never eaten so much on a trip and I mentioned that I'd never drank so much...

People thought we looked like twins from our first pic of the trip.

Enjoying your trip, thanks for the report!
