Trip Report THE ONE WHERE THE FRIENDS GO TO DISNEY; ALMOST LIVE IN APRIL.

Day one sort of/ April 1

Why “almost live”? To give myself the loophole if I can not handle it

Truth be told, I am sitting in the airport now. It’s 5:30 and I have a 6:10 am flight to FLL. If you have “traveled” with me before you know I multi task when I am down in Florida. My son has a lacrosse game tonight. I will head up to Disney tomorrow.

Who is going on this trip? My friend K and I. We met when our oldest were in the same first grade class. We were the class moms and became fast friends. (So did the boys) She divorced some years later and moved to the north shore. (I am on the south shore). We do not see each other as often as we want but we see each other when we can.
She had a birthday in December and asked if I wanted to go to the city for the weekend. Lets see...NYC in December? NO THANK YOU! I countered with Florida in April. We took our youngest to WDW last April and had a great time

See Dre’s happy face in the back? Told you we had a great time!!!

She is a ton of fun! We will be taking it easy and enjoying the resort more than normal. She is not a huge ride/parks person but will do it for me and for the adventure.

Still at the pool. Weather still awesome.

This pix K just sent me. She took it on Big Thunder about the time she was starting to feel sick. She calls it “the one where only darstarr had fun. “

It was ducks. Actually it was ducklings. Sooooo cute!!!

This girl/guy flew by and into the pool. I said to K, “you can tell who the mean kids are” as some were chasing and splashing her. One boy chased her up next to me ( this pix) and I said, “dont chase the duck.” The kid looked at me like I had two heads.

You get em! They won’t chase it again if it flogs them lol ducks can be mean. Mine was- I loved her anyway tho. Hope you are having a blast. We are opening our pool up today, will get caught up on trip report reading when we get done.

Lunch time!!!

We split the spinach and watermelon salad and the fish tacos. The tacos were so good. Side options were french fries, no thanks, or cole slaw. The slaw was the same as on the taco. Boring. I wish they had maui onion potato chips. That would be spot on!

Gotta watch out for those pool ducks! One of them did his duckie business in the Coronado pool when we stayed last spring and we all had to get out so the poor lifeguard could fish it out with a net.

My friend makes most of my Disney shirts. Actually her husband. They have a big machine and all the softwear etc. I tell him what I want and viola!

I love love love that episode. My husband and I are always quoting pivot! I loved how the skipper got the audience involved too. Even if I was the only one to get it.

And yes, we love that episode as well....well, we love all of them. But DD does quote that one a lot. But she's in a dual immersion class where she's the only one who speaks fluent English, so none of the other kids understood why she was laughing. I'm not even sure her teacher would have gotten it.

Sorry to disappoint. Their main business is team uniforms and school spirit wear. They do the one and two offs for me because we have been friends forever. And I bring them/brought them tons of business with my three boys all involved in sports.

While I have a minute I want to tell you a cute story. Today at the pool I was walking into the ladies room. There was a woman who followed in right behind me. A CM was emptying the garbage and she said, “Aloha y’all”.
I almost died from laughter!
I said, “those are two words I never thought I would hear in the same sentence.”

Love the Poly studios, but think they need 2 potties, not 2 showers. Just sayin. Especially when you put the 5 people in there it says it will hold!

Thanks. And I agree with two toilets! Believe me, there is ample space! I could park a truck in one of these bathrooms!!!

Back at the Poly! Still on a high!

I brought our extra alcohol to give to X because we leave tomorrow. I told him to save it for me because we are driving down Thursday for his game saturday and to spend Easter with him and my Dad. Do we think I will see it again???

Spartans lost yesterday my friend I am happy to say.
As for the lightning, I went to school with Coop so, yes, I cheer for them! (After the Kings)

the US naval academy lacrosse museum is named in honor of my stepfather charles guy..he was a football,lacrosse and wrestler for the academy..
