I'm with you on the no jelly thing. :)

I knew you were a keeper!

PB and honey toast. Mmm. One of my favorite weekend breakfast options.
BES, why just the weekend?

Not to unnecessarily drag out this sub-topic, BUT:

I loves me some peanut butter and jelly sammies!!! :joyfull: :hungry:

Peanut butter and honey on toast! :hungry:

And . . . peanut butter and marshmallow fluff sammies! :p :hungry:
I love peanut butter with just about anything. Except jelly (and of course 🥑) 😉

#kidmemories The best sammies! AND now you can drink one!

Saturday Sept 21 cont

We left AK and headed back to BLT. I made a FP for us for Epcot later that night. Not Frozen😞

J wasnt feeling 100%. Her stomach had been giving her problems (during food and wine? That is just cruel!)
SIL and J:

B and I headed for the pool again. I could not just sit there. We had such a short time in WDW and there were things I wanted to do. I forced myself to “relax” for about an hour but that was all I could take.

Those of you who read and memorized my August TR remember I had been trying to get an Oga’s reservation but missed it because I went to get ice and forgot my phone. After that my phone was always within reach. A week or so after I got home from the August trip I was in the shower and had my phone on the ledge on the other side of the glass. It started lighting up like a Christmas tree. Normally I would ignore it and finish my shower but...Oga’s. And it was. Tons if times were available on multiple days!!! (My theory: a large group, such as travel professionals had just given Disney their final numbers which were lower than Disney had anticipated so they released inventory that had been earmarked for the group. My SIL was invited through her work to take part in one of these things but did no go😮 All expenses paid!!!)

So we had Oga’s and I wanted to get over to Hollywood early and do what I could. B opted to pass on Oga’s and HW for pooltime. SIL and J got up and the three of us headed to HW.

The bus took awhile and we were running a bit late. I had to go to the ladies room soo soo badly but we were already late for our reservation. I stopped a CM and explained that I was new to this system and asked the quickest way to Oga’s.

We checked in and got on line. I should have run to the ladies room in retrospect but I didnt want to hold up the process.
We waited. And waited. And waited. SIL noticed two groups of three go in before us and spoke up. Good thing because the CM who checked us in, didnt really check us in.

Finally we got in.

I didnt take too many pictures because you have either seen them or are avoiding them.

This is the DJ guy behind us and he was broken. Yep, open three weeks and he was broken. And for a totally immersive land, the three CM’s there working on him were wearing blue coveralls that said DISNEY PARKS.

Our server came over and introduced himself as David, but his name tag had something else on it. Something that looked more like a last name. He said it was a family name. (I am confused, anyone else have info or similar experience?) David was funny and working hard. There were two other groups at our standing table. One family of four left almost immediately after our arrival to be replaced by a family of five who told us they didnt have a reservation and waited about 5 minutes. We did have a reservation and waited 20!
The other couple left and were replaced by another couple. More on them later as it is a good ❤️ Story.

We looked at the menu and decided to try as much as possible in our 45 minute allotted time. We ordered the beer sampler but David said they were out of the holders but were expecting them any minute. The glasses for the sampler are conical shaped so need to sit in the specially made holders which I suspect people have been stealing. So off David went to check to see if the holders had arrived.

As we waited to place our order we got to talking to the two women who had joined our table. One was from Illinois and one was from Oklahoma. Personally I was trying to figure out the scoop but didnt want to pry. Finally we got the whole story. I am sharing it because it is a lovely story.
They met at a hard rock music festival and Ill was attracted to OK. The problem was OK was married....to a man. And had kids. After a few years of seeing each other at this festival Ill won OK’s heart. When OK’s youngest turned 18 they married. They were on their honeymoon!!!
During their story David came back and we said forget the sampler. We ordered two beers

And I wanted to try the Jedi Mind Trick.

As soon as our drinks arrived we did a big loud cheers to the newlyweds and to our amazement the cheers went through the bar. It was great as everyone was hooting and hollering and yelling “yay!” And “cheers!” and they had no idea why. The newlyweds were very happy.

Some of our drinks.
I took a sip of the Jedi Mind trick and got a hair in my mouth. Yuck! Not mine. David came over to check on the table.
Me: “David, is the bartender blonde?”
David: “Maybeeeee.....whyyyyy?
I held out the blond hair for him to see. Without missing a beat he waved his hand in front of my face and in his best Ben voice said, “there is nothing wrong with your drink.”
Ha ha ha ha !!!😂😂😂
He brought us a new one and didn't charge us for it.

Finally, with our drinks. We had already been there about 35 minutes. David told us he was trying to prolong our 45 minutes for us which normally would have been great but we had to leave to meet up with B at Epcot. No second round for us. Plus, I still hadn't used the restroom.

I really enjoyed the Jedi mind trick (the drink, not David’s shenanigans😂). I often do not like fruity drinks because they are too sweet for me but this had grapefruit juice which tempered the sweetness. I dont think I could have more than one though.

As for the beer.
We all decided we really really liked the Gold Squadron Lager.
We looked at the menu to see who made it. Maybe we could score some on earth.

BLUE POINT BREWERY???

Blue Point Brewery!?!?!?

We traveled all the way to Batuu to drink a beer that is made 13 miles from my house?!?!?

I have been looking for it, even under a different name but without luck. I will have to take a ride to the brewery and find out if it is available outside Batuu.

Congratulations! You have won the 🏆for the most off-topic post (otherwise known as a rabbit trail....wait, do rabbits eat celery?) in a trip report!!!
As a certified rabbit hugger, Rabbits do like celery but should only eat the leaves. The strings in the actual celery can tangle up in their tummies causing GI Stasis. ;) Sorry I couldn’t resist. 🐰

Jam/Jelly Marmalade is disgustingly sweet. I love to make it to gift at Christmas but for a batch that makes maybe 7-8 pints it takes like 9 cups of sugar. 😑

I have heard that saying @Darstarr - most likely from Back to the Future. Lol

Ok I have some more info. I had dinner with SIL tonight and I was looking through some of her pictures and BIL comes in and we are talking and he said how he has heard the beer flight in Oga’s is $75.
No.
$75?
How could that be?
So I look at the photos again and

$85 for the beer flight which includes the board as a souvenir. Yikes! SIL and I were very happy they were out of them!

And he has a meeting at Blue Point Brewery in a few weeks. He will ask about the beer for me!

And there is this. Late but appropriate I think.
