Lots and lots of great moments spent in disney over the years...lots! But Im sure we all have that ONE moment we would rather just forget.

Ours was when our 25 yr old daughter was 5!!! we were at the breakfast buffet at cape may cafe. My wife and her were in line to get some eggs, etc ( my wife as all moms do was placing eggs into her dish when my daughter decided to try to reach for some sausage on her own. She touched the pan and burnt her hand and let out such a sream and started wailing..in an instant there must have been 5-6 cms rush ed in to help her and took her to first aid..they were awsum with her but do this day we always remind her when we happen to be at buffets ( even at 25) "sarah let me do that for you" she starts to laugh

I must have been five, Mom and I got seperated from Dad and my brother. Mom was yelling SANTO!!! SANTO!!! for what seemed like an eternity! She set me on the fountain outside of the castle and gave me the "Pan Am" tote bag to hold. I tried to put it across my body caught my ear and tore my earing straight thru my earlobe. My Dad and Brother were misplaced for about 30 minutes. Security had to come and calm my Mom as she rapidly lost her mind :hammer:...lol. We went to First Aid and they patched me up pretty good. All in all, we found the family and I am still able to wear earings...

When we made our first trip in 2008 (I'm 25 now, was 22 then...so sad that the first trip was so late in life, I digress) I was walking down Main Street in MK and this lady was driving her motorized wheelchair/cart thing and talking on her phone. Needless to say she wasn't paying attention and ran right into me. The edge of her chair/cart thing sliced the back of my leg right above the Achilles Tendon and it started to gush, I also fell forward onto my bad knee and knocked it out (it dislocates frequently due to a bone issue) so I spent the rest of the day on crutches with a bandaged leg.

Three days later at AK I passed out on the bridge going towards Asia due heat exhaustion. When I came to I had a CM over me with the first aid kit, and there was duck walking by my head. My dad and the CM walked me into the shade and proceeded to make me drink a whole water bottle. Then my dad bought me an Italian Ice because my Mom was actually smart enough to remember that I am Hypoglycemic and require sugar every so often.

It was an amazing trip, except for the scar I still have from that lady who, never apologized even when the CM and my dad were giving her dirty looks.

First visit to Disney Animal Kingdom in 1999. The park layout was confusing, we stood in line for the boat transport for 40 minutes only to find out it wasn't really anything but a transport to the other side of the park, and it was so hot in the park that day that we were all snapping at each other.

A day to remember, but a day to forget.

In 2008 my wife and I went to Disneyworld with her son, his wife, and two grandkids. It was their first time and his wife was in the morning sickness stage of pregnancy. We were all on the Deluxe Dining Plan, but she couldn't stand the smell of food on the couple of occasions when she was able to make it to dinner with us. Most days she was back at the hotel sick and she ordered pizzas and stuff from room service, but they still managed to have a good time. About day two (we were there for an entire week) my wife's left eye started getting red and puffy from what we determined was a bug bite. It just got steadily worse as the week went on. By day four her left eye looked like she had gone a round with Mike Tyson. It started itching real bad and then the entire left side of her face started getting red and puffy. I must say that she was a trooper through it all and never missed a beat, except for a few trips to the First Aid station, where they basically just gave her some Antiseptic ointment. We would later get Benadryl at the resort grocery store, which helped a little with the itching, but not much else. We made it through the whole trip and had a great time and when we got back we found out that my wife had gotten a staph infection from the bug bite and she had to take a heavy dose of antibiotics. I like to take lots of pictures while at Disney(probably too many), plus, since we had the whole family there we made many stops at the Photopass locations. Between the Photopass CD and all the Digital photos that I took I spent weeks afterwards photoshopping my wife's big red puffy eye out of all 1500 or so pictures(by her request). I kept the originals of course.

Okay here is a good one for ya.... Last november we stayed at POR and my husband REALLY wanted to rent a searycer. We had tried unsuccessfuly on earlier trips and we had nothing planned for the afternoon so he and my son FINALLY got to rent one... They had a blast going up and down the river to DTD and back, while I swam and did laundry and my mom took a nap. Coming from the room towards the marina , my son started to run towards me with the look on his face. You know that look:eek:... I went to the dock only to find my husband giving my the same look:eek:... Come to find out, as he was exiting the boat, he forgot his new Iphone was on his lap (he had called me from it) as he stood up to get out BLOP....in the river the phone went... after that he was just in a crappy mood:cry:
but I still made it to Wishes.....

Unacceptable.. I only wish I was there when this had happened. These people are the scum of the earth sometimes.

I wish you had been there last year when I was stopped on my scooter and this lady ran into me with her stroller, complete with kid, then she yelled at me.

2 events, same day, on the first trip with my wife and oldest son, who was 6 at the time.

We left the Crystal Palace after a late breakfast; it had rained recently, I was walking quickly over the bridge between the Crystal Palace and the walkway near Adventureland and my son was walking in front of me. My feet slipped and I slid forward, knocking my son down. Meanwhile, another man fell behind me and slid into me, his feet kicking me.

I fell hard on my ribs and bruised them badly. I spent a good portion of that day sitting under the tent near Ariel's grotto watching my wife and son have a great time while I nursed my pain.

When I left the park that night, I fell again as I walked thru the exit gate!!! (also due to a recent rain)

Needless to say, I've been a bit more cautious in WDW after it rains!

Wow we had the same thing happen to us. My DW is also hypoglycemic, she passed out in Adventure Land right infront of the tree house. One minute she seemed fine the next she was on the ground.CM's came running to assist her too and I pumped water into her and bought her a big hat to wear in the sun.

With my folks as an eleven year old, I caught bird droppings right in the mug. My mom had pointed to something and i had just looked up. It hit me square in the face...eyes, hair, mouth...the whole nine yards. I'm not sure what type of bird it was or how many birds assaulted me. It seemed like it was a flock, or an ostrich. I can still taste it thirty years later.

My wife and I took a romantic trip to WDW for our 5th wedding anniversary on Valentine's Day (our anniversary is actually in June). We had reservations at V&A's which was the second time we dined there. About 3/4 through the wonderful and expensive meal along with wine pairings, I started feeling a little queasy, 10 minutes later I was in their bathroom with it coming out both ends. I went back to the table eventually, and tried to tough it out, but 5 minutes later I was back in the restroom, this time laying on the cool cool marble floor, feeling like I was going to pass out. The manager came in 15 minutes later to see if I was OK, and needless to say, the evening didn't go as planned. At least we were staying at the GF, so I didn't have far to walk. I was pretty sick the rest of the night, and only got up the next day to go to the Pirate and Princess party since it was the first year it was offered. We stayed for less than an hour and came back to the room. The next two days I felt better, and fortunately my wife never got sick, even though she stayed in the room with me the day I was most sick (she's an angel), but I still feel bad about it to this day.

Seems five years is the age for bad things to happen at Disney World. That's how old I was on my first trip when it was just me, my older brother and my parents (there are have been two more siblings since), but growing up I always had problems with my ears and on the trip down when my ears popped in the plane they never went back to normal. It was so bad that my parents had to take me to an EMO in Orlando to get my ears checked, turns out I had a nasty infection. That is no way to spend the first visit to Disney, they were fine by the end of the trip though with the medicine I was given. My mother was actually about seven months pregnant with my little sister at the time, so I'm sure that's just what my parents needed.

Another good one I have was in February of '96, a month before I turned ten and my parents now with all four of their children (my younger brother being seven months old at the time) we took a day trip to Blizzard Beach, as it was just under a year old. Some of you may or may not have seen my trip report from last October but I am one pasty fella (it's the Irish) and with all the white surfaces over at Blizzard Beach I caught one hell of a sunburn. My parents are no slouches, they must have used an entire bottle of sun block on me but my shoulders were no match for the sun that day. By the time the sunset I had blisters that were already bursting on my shoulders and down half my back. We did stay at the Wilderness Lodge Cabins that year that because they were the only place on site that would actually fit the six of us, so that was pretty cool. I also got a giant stuffed Pumba in exchange for my battle scars.

Our last trip Nov/Dec 2010, it was a cool day that wasn't off to a great start anyway because my mother fell on the way to the bus stop twisting her ankle. She couldn't walk, so she headed back to the room leaving me alone with my 1 & 1/2 yr old daughter and 10 yr old son. So, off to the MK to conquer fantasyland we went.

Well it was one of those days when 3 changes of clothes just wasn't enough. Headed to the bathroom knowing i had nothing else to put on her, but had to try to clean her up. Luckily her shirt, jacket, and socks were temporally salvageable; but that didn't change the fact that it was over cast, in the 50's, and my daughter had no pants on in the middle of fantasyland.

We still had barely ridden 3 rides do to outfit changing and long waits, so I meant we were going to finish riding before heading back to the room. We went to store to store looking for her something that would fit her, but they'd have shirts and no pants or vice versa. Finally, after looking in every shop in Fantasyland and glaring back at all the people who we're looking at me like I would really tote her around like that on purpose I found a pair of pj's in toontown that didn't break the bank.

Still could crawl under a rock, but at least we finally finished riding everything we wanted to before heading back to the room.

Most of the time I'm pretty unflappable when it comes to Disney visits, and we've been pretty lucky to avoid anything major happening. However, two things that happened last December managed to get under my skin for an hour or two.

One late afternoon in DAK, we were being herded into our seats for Finding Nemo: The Musical. My oldest stepdaughter (age 7 at the time) pulled loose from my hand and started climbing the stairs too quickly. We were being herded into a particular row, but she kept climbing. I took a couple steps after her, reaching out to grab her arm and stop her (because she couldn't hear me yelling "stop,") only to have a female CM step in front of me, get inches away from my face and say in a tone and volume that were waaaaaay out of place for the situation, "Ma'am!!!! Just where do you think YOU'RE going?" I was so taken aback by being essentially yelled at by a CM (and having her stand so close to me) that I put my hands up, palms facing her, like it was a stick-up. I then pointed behind her and answered "to stop my child. Have a magical day. Geez!" and then she actually sneered at me. She completely ignored my stepdaughter, who was running up the stairs to a higher section (who suddenly realized nobody was with her and came back to us on her own. Nobody yelled at her or tried to keep her from going into another section.) I'm usually pretty laid back, but I spent the rest of the show fuming, saying that I wanted to go back and get her name and go speak to Guest Relations--that behavior like that in a CM was completely unacceptable and something I'd never encountered before. My husband asked me to let it go because he felt that me stopping to complain would ruin the rest of our day. I did calm down after the show, but I still shake my head when I think about it. She acted like I was shoplifting or something!

However, I could have used that attitude in a CM the previous day. As we were "riding the clams" in the Seas in Epcot, the couple in front of us were in two separate "clams" with their kids. The husband and wife took flash photos NON-STOP throughout the whole ride. I mean, rapid fire tandem flashing the whole time. It was like riding next to a strobe light. No exaggeration. A CM yelled for them to stop at the beginning (when they were taking photos before we cleared the conveyor belts at loading!!!) but they apparently didn't speak English. I kept calling over to them to please stop, but it was no use. They wouldn't even look in my direction. You could see the apparatus that runs the pilot fish, and the EAC was completely blotted out, being cancelled out by the flash. It was like looking at a completely white wall. At unload, I told the CM there about it, and he just shrugged and didn't offer to let us go through again. Since the wait time was so long at that point, we didn't get back in line. I was more incredulous than angry that time, and my stepdaughter kept asking me "why would people do that in a ride?" I kept saying "I don't know."

The one and only time I rode Alien Encounter. I must have been in middle school at the time, but the thing still scared the bloody heck out of me. I have never tried to claw myself out of a seat restraint so hard in my entire life.

Mine would be last month in HS when my husband didn't take my 5 year old with him as the rest of us entered the TSM queue.. and it was a good 5 minutes before anyone noticed that he wasn't with us. To say pure panic would be an understatement. Thank God we found him.. he was so scared and upset and wouldn't even look at my husband the rest of the day. They were ride buddies but my husband is easily distracted. yes he will never be allowed to forget something shinny caught his attention and he lost his son. The rest of the trip ( this was Day 2 of 10 park days) the 5 year old was NOT allowed to be anyone's ride buddy but mine.

Ya that is a good one. I'm always paranoid of dropping my phone into bay lake when we are on the small water taxis( the ones that aren't enclosed).
