I just realized that I'm not having anyone do the restaurant. Does anyone want to take it up? I'll do it if no one else wants to, but I didn't really have much input in the basic idea of it, so I would most definitely need some input from everyone.

Can I get a list of what exactly will be on Inventor's Plaza?
You absolutely need a store, but there will also be the Walt Disney Exhibit and the Quick Service Restaurant. The rest is completely up to you, but I was thinking of a Edison vs Tesla sort of thing.

I wondered if we could have a statue in the middle which from one side looks like Tesla Holding a separated power cable, as a show of his work towards electricity in general. And on the other side you see Edison holding a light bulb, looking at it quizzically... If you look closer the reason for this is because Tesla has a smirk on his face and has just separated the cable to the light bulb!

That's a good idea, but we should have them both showing some of their greatest work, instead of trying to demean each other. It should be a rivalry on the moral high ground. What if Tesla has a remote control, and a train can pass around the second floor of one of the rows of buildings, and Edision can be holding his light bulb that looks bronzed (since I figured it would be a bronze or copper statue) but lights up from the inside, and during the night, causes the lights on the other buildings in the square to go on and off, change colors, and dance.

For the Walt Disney exhibit:

You enter the building into a small pre-show theatre. On a screen in front of you will play a short film showcasing Walt Disney and his greatest achievements:

-Steamboat Willie, 1928 (First Cartoon with Sound)

-Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, 1937 (First full-length animated film)

-Disneyland, 1955 (The first real "theme park")

-The Audio-Anamatronics Figures (Starting with the Tiki Room, Lincoln)

-EPCOT (His EPCOT introduction video can play: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u9M3pKsrcc8)

After the film is over, the screen will open up (like it did in the Parks and Resorts exhibit at D23) and lead to 5 little areas around a large room featuring exhibits of each of the previously mentioned achievements.

For the restaurant, there was a restaurant in DLP called the Explorer's Club (based on explorers like Indiana Jones and such) and a concept for an Astronomers Club was thought up, so why not an Inventor's Club restaurant? I say we have a indoor restaurant, with various inventor's pictures hanging on the wall, their inventions being showcased throughout the building, etc. Then, there could be a room in the back with AA Tesla and Edison arguing with each other and interacting with guests. At one point we could have Tesla press a button and a train would circle around the room, Edison could press a button and a light could turn on, that kind of stuff.

For the design of the area itself, it can basically be the same as Main Street, but with the influence of the originally proposed area for Disneyland: Edison Square: http://www.theneverlandfiles.com/tnf/disneyland/edisonsquare.php

And I also think there should be sort of an ATAS (the thing with all the heads of famous TV people) area somewhere in the area. Maybe in the back.

And there has to be a shop?

Maybe a little shop called Inventor's Items, where you could pick up a variety of things: vintage Walt Disney items (representing his exhibit), miniature Tesla coils, a variety of miniature trains, maybe some squishy lightbulbs (like the ones found at the Figment gift shop in EPCOT) and other little things like that.

Should we putting things together now? It would be great if we were the first team in then we get a head start on the next land.

Also does the mega-shop need a detailed backstory?

Nice work figmntal.
