The next big thing........Another live trip report!

In honor of @disneysince71, I'd like to post as we go. It was so much fun reading along, I figured, "why not?" I tried this in February, but it only lasted half the trip. I picked up a stomach bug midway and ended up tossing the phone in the sink in the wee hours of the morning ending any updates. Hope to avoid that this time! iphones can be expensive! Anyway, I can't promise to be as active as she was, but I'll try to keep it current and not aggravate my wonderful family as we enjoy Disneyworld!
On a side note, our flight has already been delayed until 6:50 PM. We were hoping to check in at the Yacht Club then head to MK for EMH. Don't think that will happen now, but we shall see what we shall see.
The trip is from Today, June 30 through July 14. The first week will be spent at the YC. Our second week at AKL. My wife and I will be traveling with our son, 10, and daughter, 8. Very excited, but now bummed with this delay!

My wife has a spa day at the GF tomorrow, and Im not sure where Im taking the kids yet. Probably AK or MK. Depends on how I feel after doing laundry until whenever tonight Good night folks. Yeah, I went to Trip Planning and this thread was not there...mods strike again...hope you get to take advantage of SAB this morning before you leave...it is simply an amazing pool complex. And we love Beaches and Cream too.

A little side tracked this morning. Forgot to give my wife her AP for her spa. Had to grab a cab to GF to pay with the AP discount. Had to get our bags moved to AKL as well. Won't be delivered until 1-3. Could be trouble. We have hoop dee Doo at 4! Heading to MK. No need to stress right.
PS. Very hot start today!

For what it is worth, when we switched resorts, the luggage was the easiest part. Made it to the room right away. Hope yours does, too!

We never have problems when moving. Didn't hit me when the bell service said it would be delivered by 3 and our ADR is at pioneer hall in FW at 4.

All checked in and in our room. Luggage was here when we checked in. no problems. We paid for the standard room, but got a savanna view. Our original room was not ready, so we tried to change our ADR time for Hoop Dee Doo at concierge. Instead, he just found a room that was ready, still a savanna view AND @HouCuseChickie, with bunk beds!!!!!!! Kids are in heaven!! Ok, need to get ready. More later.

Did you do online advance check in for your AKL portion of the trip? While I'd be happy with pool view/bunk beds like our current reservation, just wondering if my odds will increase of being bumped to savannah view if we do formal check in upon arrival. We also have an ADR we'll need to make at Sanaa so I'm hoping that pressure of getting us in a room so we can make our ADR will help. Like I said- would be happy either way, but obviously it would be an awesome bday trip surprise to be upgraded to savannah view. Glad the kids are enjoying the bunks...makes me feel better about paying for it. Enjoy Hoop Dee Doo!
