The new park commercials

It comes up all the time because denying the existence of the concept to carry water is equally as prevalent.

And it’s annoying on both fronts
Eh... I see the constant "everything sucks now" crowd far more than the so-called "pixie dusters" which often just feels like a straw man. Sure, there are people who are optimistic still, but most of them I see still acknowledge issues. They just don't feel the need to comment snarky negative remarks literally every post, every time, multiple times.

This used to be a more balanced site. Now it’s a repository for constant complaints.

I really hate to see this. We lost good posters who made valid points other than just continually pointing out how bad Disney has become (for them).

There’s both

But what you’re saying correct: the ranks of dusters has shrunk significantly

Both are tedious…no illusions

There’s always a place to go for the spectrum of tone and tenor.

To suggest that somehow…people just woke up and decided to sour on Disney parks without outside stimuli is a little disingenuous. That doesn’t mean anyone has to agree with them. But it’s valid

We need a name for the negative side so we can have a true war. Pixie Dusters and... Pixie Busters? Mouse Trappers? Grumpies? Walt Worriers?
“Old dvc members” is probably most accurate…for we grumps

Dusters is kinda lazy and not my go too…

I like “praetorian” or “Swiss guard”

An almost certainly futile attempt to steer this one back on course...

You, we, us... that's not the audience for this campaign. The quick cuts between classic experiences and new attractions - while complimented by the multi-world narration - is directly aimed for families who have the means to visit but haven't (either pre-pandemic or since their own childhood). For that target, it's a good message. Far better than, say, Storm Troopers getting off a hotel elevator.

I didn’t say everyone, queen of literal

But you can go on the PML and see a pretty easy to spot pattern
For some, yes.

Disney is for a smaller and smaller demographic. If we didn’t have DVC I’m not sure we’d be going.

But that has nothing to do with the commercial, which pretty much summarizes why we still find value in WDW and why we bought DVC in the first place.

They haven’t shrunk. They’ve left because it’s clear people who love Disney as it is today are ridiculed here.

And there’s no reason for it. People should be able to state their opinions without being labeled as “dusters,” “stupid,” etc. What’s the harm in just discussing without the labels?
