The New Disney Resort

I was just pointed to this thread today, so excuse me if I'm behind on something. Lots of neat ideas here, will there be any concept art? If not, would any of you mind if I took the initiative? I'd be willing to draw or render (computer or otherwise) areas, rides, interiors, of whatever you would like (with the exception of the Tiki room with Stitch, sorry I guess I have some fundamental differences of opinion regarding that attraction). I think it would be cool to start at Adventureland, as it encompasses some neat architecture, etc. and you still don't have a whole lot it seems in terms of attractions. Oh, one other question, Freedom Land? What exactly would this land entail? Thanks in advance, and keep up the good work.

Hey! I haven't started on any concept art for this thread. (I'm focusing on finishing my Ultimate Disney Park thread attractions first. And I'm not sure if Oriolesmagic has done any, either.) You can definitely make concept art to whatever you want (and don't worry, I'm against Stitch and the "new managment" tiki room, too.) We encourage everyone to post their ideas, art, etc. Any type of visual art is fine, whether it's drawings, videos, RCT3 recreations, etc. As for Freedom Square, Orioliesmagic was at the forefront in creating that land, so he would know more about that.

Well first of all it's Tiki room with Donald and stich...second freedom square will be much like liberty square with realy not many apparent differences except haunted mansion will be much better in a variety of ways...kingmickey is working on that project.

We don't need a vote. If you have the ideas that you won't to post, just put 'em up here! :sohappy:
Lucas Film Set Lot
As you walk into the land you find yourself in a dense forest. You are in the Planet of Endor as you hear Landspeeders and Speeder bikes soar through the forest. You walk into the first attraction Star Wars The Experience. First you will enter a mini version of the Millennium Falcon (simulator sort of like star tours)as you shoot off at light speed where you arrive at the star destroyer. Then you will exit into a the star destroyer where you will star in the movie. So grab your blaster, suit up and action! (full ride later.)

Farther into the large land you walk into a large desert area. You’re walking into Tatooine. You will find a major attraction in this sub land. This ride is called Pod Racers. Just like in the movie you will race at high speeds against other carts through a vast area filled with lots of surprises.

In the last sub land you will find yourself in a place full of adventure, full of action. You will first arrive at Indiana Jones: Stunt Show Extravaganza. But the real thrill you’ll find is in the back of this adventurous place. It is Indiana Jones And The Temple of Doom. A thrilling rollercoaster with a inversion. This ride is similar to Fire Mountain but without the minimal stopping this is just for hardcore coaster lovers. By the way I wouldn’t ride this if you have a fear of snakes!

Ok, so I started with something easy, and just did a quick exploratory sketch. Now, without further adieu, I present Oriolesmagic's Lilo's Refreshments.

I hope to find time in the near future to do a proper rendering, as this one only took 10 minutes or so. Obviously open to any and all suggestions.....

EDIT: You can also see the picture at my blog below, if the above link isn't working...

Thanks. My idea is to make sure it reflects both Adventureland as well as the story of Lilo and Stitch, hence the bamboo type structure and big tropical leaves as a roof. I really want it to have a tropical, South Pacific feel. I am hoping to have a better rendering soon, so that it is easier to understand. I'm not sure how simple Oriolesmagic wanted it, but I thought of it as just a simple smoothie stand, so there wouldn't really be a need for seating or a large queue area. After more thought, I think I may put the freezer in the back and have the entire front counter open in order to expedite patrons more quickly, but then the CM's would be making the smoothies with their back to the patrons. Any ideas on how to resolve this issue would be greatly appreciated, as well as any other ideas you may have for the stand. Thanks for the encouragement, and hopefully I'll have more for everyone to look at soon.

Yes I am. I'm sorry I haven't posted anything. I'm working on a few land ideas for the park, as well as various concept art pieces and Roller Coaster Tycoon projects. So, I've been busy multi-tasking lately...

Here is a simple elevation and color study of Lilo's Refreshments. Comments or suggestions are, as always, welcome.

And I apologize for the quality of the pic, I had to take a picture with my digital camera, no scanner at my house.

And I'll put the full resolution pic on the blog below...

Looks nice man... I'm planning on getting logos for some of our rides so far. So I'll see what I can do...I'll let Kingmickey have the next one.
