I wonder what the titles to the movie sequels will be.
In a similar situation, I think Disney messed up by going with "Cars Land" instead of "Radiator Springs". I am hoping they do not make the same mistake with this.
I think the name should officially be "Pandora: The World of Avatar" to start, with just "Pandora" being the shorthand and common reference. This way the guide maps have a reference to Avatar to tie it in better for the public, but the name "Pandora" goes along with place names like "Asia" and "Africa" in DAK. Over time, my hope would be that the public would embrace "Pandora" as the name and Disney would just drop the latter part of the title because it would not be needed.
As an aside, I wonder what the titles to the movie sequels will be. Will it be "Avatar 2" and such or some other naming convention? That could impact the land name at DAK.
Pandora: The World of Avatar seems reasonable to me.
The Avatar Saga: New Jake
Not gonna lie, thought your post said new joke...The Avatar Saga: New Jake
Suspension of disbelief is broken when - instead of having to cross oceans - you need to cross interstellar space to get to the next land. How do you transition that? It would have to use a completely different transition than the other lands.I completely agree with this, I assume the name is going to be based on the work Pandora, not Avatar. I really think the entire focus of this land is not going to be the Avatar movie, but instead a visit to Pandora, just like you can visit Africa and Asia in the park now.

Creative but lame. It's possible that the story behind the land is not that you will be traveling to Pandora, but that Pandora has been re-created here on Earth for you to visit.

I like it!PANDORA: The World of AVATAR is indeed the name from what I've seen. Be sure to always write them in caps.
exactly, or stepping back in time to the old west...or land of fantasy...To be honest I don't really see any difference in walking between a continent to walking to another planet...
I don't get the hate either. We are getting something new that will make a day trip out of what once was a few hours. I for one am excited and looking forward to it. Jim Cameron and joe rhode will not let is down.exactly, or stepping back in time to the old west...or land of fantasy...
Disney is about the experience...making you believe you really could be on Pandora...and from all of the concept art...this place is going to be incredible. I don't understand all of the hate.
I would bet money this is what it will end up as...you open it as "Pandora: The World of Avatar" to make 100% clear what it is connected to for marketing etc. Then a year or so down the road...you can drop "The World of Avatar"They should just use Pandora. Forget about "the world of avatar" since that's kinda a given and sounds dumb compared at Africa, Asia, etc
