It is odd to someone not American. Seems rather.... crass. As good as it may be without pre judging the product.
Kind of like if we had Buckingham Palace in Epcot and we hung Spitting Image puppets out the window.
Once again, vague notions of patriotism is not the theme of Liberty Square. Sam Eagle is a character who exists in a contemporary setting. This whole thing only works by removal by any sense of setting from Liberty Square. The tie-in is Sam Eagle. He's ALL patriotic, and the other Muppets relate to him on that level.
That's not self referential or breaking the fourth wallThese fellows would argue that point.
I'm not sure that you can break the forth wall any harder than sitting in the guests lap.Once again, vague notions of patriotism is not the theme of Liberty Square. That's not breaking the fourth wall. Guests are not a passive, external audience within a themed experience.I'm not sure that you can break the forth wall any harder than sitting in the guests lap.
No,This like every other change that has been or ever will be made, falls into two camps with people:
1. I think I am going to like it, and I am excited about it.
2. Change is bad - do not change anything - why are the ruining everything? How come theres never any new attractions?
Good job completely ignoring the critique. This like every other change that has been or ever will be made, falls into two camps with people:

Except that you will find that very, very few people just want things to stay as is.Hi there. Long time listener, first time caller....
Okay, joking aside, I kinda agree with this comment. Althought I haven't been a member very long (always read the forum comments though), it does seem that this happens quite a bit. I'm actually shocked that people get so mad about change and it's poo-pooed (it seems like a lot of the time, but I haven't read every single thread either), but then I realize that Disney folks are very opinionated. Nothing wrong with that-I think people just have a strong passion here. There are things we want to see changed, and things we want to stay as is. This is why we all like to chat on this here forum-to express our opinions/thoughts on the world that is Disney!

No, that's a fact. Liberty Square is about American heritage; not American frontiers, but rather the early colonial era of America.Your opinion. My opinion is that this could be a perfect fit.
The satire of the seventies and eighties, the caricature, became the exemplary example post-2001. How the climate changed! No, he's a caricature of blind jingoism, and the other puppets all make fun of him for it.
Still not great, slightly better, but not much of an improvement for me.What are people's opinions if there had been announced the exact same show, but with the Fab Five?
