I think the big thing is the location. We do the DHS version regularly but this one we almost forgot was even there. We tend to find the same thing with Roger as well. I agree with others that they should have used the traditional animation. Although I actually like the newer animation style, I think the classic would work better.

Though I dislike the DL version of Pooh (sorry!)

Location plays a big part of why we don’t ride it all the time but there is something definitely missing from this ride. Just doesn’t feel like a satisfying/ complete experience.

Show scenes that are too large without enough going on- it feels like you're in a warehouse.

I think this is by far the biggest issue right here. Those visibile seams between screens aren’t helping either. I do think between the big city scene, the tunnels and the waterfall scene there is a template for a good ride in there somewhere.

I feel like this ride would have been more appreciated at DCA.

They definitely seem to be working on a lot of refurbs now.

It's hard to tell if this is a situation where they put off refurbs until they just couldn't anymore, or if they just are acknowledging the reality that summer isn't as busy as it used to be.

Definitely a bummer to have TSMM down right when my mother and I visit-it's her first time to Disneyland since 2015 and it's one of her favorite attractions.

I hope they restore TSMM to its former glory. They really ran it into the ground. The screens have been in bad shape for a while. But it really took WebSlingers for me to fully appreciate TSMM as it took Avengers Campus for me to appreciate Bugs Land. Maybe because it’s my first shooter ride but it’s definitely a more whimsical and fun take on a shooter ride. Works much better than Spider-Man IMO.

Ooh I can actually speak to this now, seeing as we just rode Spider-Man three weeks ago in Paris!

I had such a blast on the ride, although my right arm felt like it was about to perish by the end. I definitely didn't quite get the knack of it. I hit over 100k something points, my partner got over 200k, but we had a blast. The ride was far more immersive and fun in person than you get from the videos of it.

Really enjoyed, would have ridden again if we had the time.

Yea by the 4th screen my arm is shot!

Do you like it more than TSMM though is the question.

My understanding of the area is that Badlands NP is mostly exposures of Brule and Chadron Formations. They are Oligocene/Eocene in Age- ~30-35 Million years old.

Coconino sandstone and Supai Formation are exposed at the Grand Canyon and are ~275 million years and ~280-300 million years old off the top of my head. The exposed units at Badlands NP are much much younger than those at the Grand Canyon. Different rock units but the colors are due to the same reasons :-D

Badlands is a beautiful place as are the Black Hills, have a great time!

TP2000 True Story: Decades ago, I drove across country in September along the northern route in a red convertible, and when I got to Mount Rushmore (which was a bit of a detour off the Interstate as I remember), I looked at it and said out loud "That's it?".

Not that it isn't stirring and emotional, and not that we all don't owe a great deal to those four men, but at least from the lookout vista viewpoint of the 20th century it seemed small and far away. Did I mention small? Sorry, George. Sorry, Teddy. I think the Corn Palace left a bigger impression on me than Mount Rushmore.

I think someone told me, or I read somewhere, that they redid the visitors center and viewpoint and its closer now. Is that true?
