Since your trip is already booked, I say just stick with it, and I’m saying that as someone who just came back from WDW property a few months ago and have no immediate desire to return, and as someone who spent a month in Italy a few years ago and wished I was there every single day. Complete the trip, and who knows? You may actually really, really enjoy yourselves and find the trip to be worth the money. You won’t know unless you try.

Ugh same. 2 weeks in Italy in 2018, I dream of the place.

Seriously. Excellent food, excellent historical monuments, beautiful and kind people, beautiful sights to see… What more could you ask for? I uncontrollably cried the night before my flight back home. My trip was perfect. The dream is to relocate there at some point in my life. We’ll see.🙌🏾

Can we join you? I promise Colby and I are clean... kind... and love to cook.

In non-Star Wars news, I was very unimpressed with Webslingers. Why are we building worse versions of rides that already exist in the same park?

I didn't get that either. It's just Midway Mania, except you don't get a gun and there's a twink in the pre-show. Why?

I'm clearly not the target audience for this Marvel stuff, let me just say that up front. But I am a theme park fan. Before I moved from OC I had a few passing thoughts of making a trip to Disneyland/DCA to see it as a "local" one last time. I even pieced together a hotel stay on a couple of potential dates. Then I stopped. Nothing about this new Marvel Land appealed to me, and the rest of the property was all the same or still on Covid closures as of this past April. So... why even bother?

It's beyond baffling that they put that ride system and concept in the same park a few hundred yards from Midway Mania. Idiots. I can't even blame Bob Chapek for it, as there had to be a whole bunch of other people who sold the idea to Bob Chapek.

Because God knows Chapek isn't going to have any sort of vision for a theme park, beyond applying the troublesome App and confusing rules branded with plus signs to more stuff.

Remember how some people would complain that Fastpass at Disneyland was badly designed because they were set up to rush you through the themed parts of the queue?

Well those people had some good points, but they were also wrong.

Waiting through those Space Mountain hallways that you used to breeze through before they reconfigured the line isn't fun.
Breezing through Indiana Jones's queue isn't a good idea either. Too bad none of the queue effects work anymore.

Not one of the Marvel rides I've done are good, and I'm not sure what it says about the other rides that Guardians is easily the best of them.

I also don't feel like it really did a good job of explaining what you were supposed to do on Webslingers (in terms of how to shoot). Maybe I was zoning out but it seemed poorly explained to me (same for Smugglers too actually with the different roles).

And there's an internet with plenty of videos showing a superior Spider-Man ride that's more than 20 years old. I just don't get it.

He’s problematic. They should take down the Partners Statue next.

According to Len Testa on this week's Disney Dish, it likely has more to do with tourists by and large referring to the resort as Disney World or Disneyworld rather than Walt Disney World.

Personally, I hope the name remains WDW. But hey, this is the company that had the gall to replace Maelstrom, so all bets are off.

Weird timing if true no? They don’t play the opening day day speech on Disneylands birthday for the first time in decades (undoubtedly because it was the first time I was in attendance on the parks anniversary) and now they re considering taking “Walt” out of Walt Disney World?
