It’s an NFT of a property they bought in 2019… the whole thing is celebrating the diversity of content available on Disney+, nothing more, and it’s not really aimed toward kids. To me it seems more like a zany cartoon moment than anything worth dragging Chapek and a quote about Epcot into.
It’s the corporation celebrating their purchases via an image of a father choking his son.

But we can’t gave scary scenes on the Snow White ride anymore because it might make a few people uncomfortable.

So much hypocrisy under one roof. That’s today’s Disney. The company that wants to have its cake and gorge on it, too.

Again they’re different audiences. Families with little kids go to theme parks, but no little kids are buying NFTs. At most, a parent/relative might buy it as a gift/investment of sorts for them, but that’s at the parent’s full discretion, and they’d probably go with the Toy Story or Frozen ones. I’m actually not a huge fan of the Snow White tone change or the Simpson’s scene they chose for that NFT, but the point is they’re very different situations.

The company is making the rated R Deadpool 3 soon… it’s obviously not meant for young kids. There’s different audiences and I think that’s a good thing.

Cut portion sizes?!?!

It’s interesting how when Tom Staggs and Jay Rasulo were CFO, people here regularly railed against them, and yet this lady has managed to almost completely avoid all chatter around here. If she cuts portion sizes that better change!!

Healthier food is one option to help people’s waistlines.
So cut portion sizes and keep the prices the same or raise them.

They really are on the fast track Lightning Lane to ruining their brand. You can keep saying that you offer a premium product, but that doesn't make it true.

For those of you that keep saying, "Yeah, you say you are done with Disney, but then you keep going." Nope. Just bought plane tickets and booked rooms for next summer's non-Disney vacation. :p

We'll be back to Disney when they return to offering a premium product to go with their premium prices. In the meantime, we are off to see the rest of the world! Adventure is out there!

It's funny you say that. I've rebooked and re-rebooked several trips now for 2022 that were cancelled in 2020 and 2021. None of them involves Disney, not even Tokyo Disneyland.

I'm good. I've got a backlog of travel to catch up on in '22. I imagine there are young families out there that have a backlog of Disneyland trips to catch up on in '22 too, but for me at least my travel plans don't involve Disney theme parks or their boats or their timeshares.

I was thinking about my Disneyland trip in September, where I spent a lot of my time alone, and would stand in line studying sheet music (or trying to) while waiting by myself. I wonder what kind of weirdo (in a sea of weirdos, mind you) I must have looked like being That Person at Disney.

According to FreshBaked, the Caterpillar and his hookah are missing from Alice in Wonderland. Routine maintenance or did the PC Committee strike again?
Seeing as Peter Pan still has its red-skinned, stone-faced "Injun Braves" beating on animal hide drums, I'm fairly certain the Caterpillar (who isn't even an ethnic stereotype) is only gone for maintenance reasons.

I get the rationale but in light of recent history I wouldn’t be certain about anything

If any of you have access to Curiosity Stream, there's a new short series called The Science of Thrills. The host visits theme parks around the world, rides stuff, and then they analyze his physiological response to the rides. It's a pretty fun show. I'm enjoying seeing bits of parks I've never heard of.
I watch a bit of science videos and educational stuff on YouTube and they're always sponsored by Curiosity Stream, I've been wanting to check it out for a while. I'll have to check if they have a free trial and check out this show!

It's only about $14 per YEAR. Something like that... Super cheap.

I think I started after watching an Answers with Joe video. :).
