Wow, and I thought WEB-SLINGERS was bad. This is one of the worst things Disney’s ever done. And then, at the end, to have the animated on-tram hosts gushing (obnoxiously) about how amazingly fun it supposedly was... In all seriousness, how stupid does Disney think people are?

I don't understand building a whole ride based around a tram stop scene that wasn't even that amazing in the first place.

I feel like I'm being punked with this video.

The sad part is you know at least two of those people were expecting something on the level of RSR

And two of those on the tour (the two animated hosts) are trying to convince everyone else it *is* on the level of RSR.

So, is Sally supposed to be some kind of lying huckster villain now?
You’re confusing the Cars Cinematic Paradigm (CCP) with the Cars Recreational Attraction Paradigm (CRAP) in which Sally is an ambulance chasing lawyer. It’s part of the rich storytelling of Cars Multiverse.

I'm becoming more and more convinced that we're entering a new era of declining quality and poor guest experience for the parks. Corona is part of it of course, but man.

Annnnd now I'm imagining a tram train mounted on the slot car track of RSR traveling at RSR speeds ...

... and I want it.

If you were far enough ahead of your time to be a theme park nerd in the 60s you had it really good.
I was in that group, and the live CA park experience was indeed awesome. But today’s park fans can virtually visit every park on Earth and play Planet Coaster and listen to any park music they like anytime they want.

Me, on the other hand... After learning a place called Six Flags Over Georgia existed when a Newlywed Game couple won a trip, I looked up the address at the library and sent a hand-written letter to the park asking for a map.

Three weeks later, when a huge envelope arrived with not just a map, but a couple of pounds of promo material (The Great American Scream Machine had just opened) I nearly died of joy. I still remember opening the mailbox that day. 😄

These creators are redoing Splash Mountain...
I hope you’ve got your expectations set to extremely low or have no expectations at all, unless they are related to disappointment. I’m 100% prepared to dislike this new PatF ride. Now I won’t be disappointed if I actually do dislike it and I’ll be pleasantly surprised if I do (highly unlikely).

It’s time to retire “tram”-style rides, once and for all (aside from the USH tram, of course). The ride system just doesn’t lend itself to clear, compelling storytelling or thrilling, engaging experiences.

Kong was disappointing. Fast & Furious is shockingly lazy and lacking in excitement. This Cars commercial masquerading as an attraction is somehow even worse than the F&F ride; it’s cynically cheap, makes no sense, has no story — truly no imagination whatsoever was wielded to assemble this experience.
