It sucks, as was expected. Not to sound like a doomer, but I can only allow myself to be honest here, and this is just lame. Imagine taking a 1955 opening day attraction, but instead of actually addressing a real issue like the massively outdated animation, you instead opt for a bunch of glittery projections, a spinning statue of the main character, and the removal of nearly all the atmospheric and exciting edge the ride had maintained for 64 years prior. I especially love the Windows Movie Maker "shattering mirror" effect, the completely unresolved and confusing cliff scene in which the Witch presumably escapes unscathed, and the extremely drawn out ending which only needed to be half as long as it is.

Quite literally the only positives I can come up with are the Dwarfs now laughing in the cottage scene and the figures of Dopey and Doc in the mine.

There's a whole thread here about the ride: Disneyland to give Snow White’s Scary Adventures dark ride a major facelift in 2020

Planet Coaster Console Edition added some adorable animatronic fish today. And Ghostbusters. And tram tours. And the Tower of Terror ride system. Nice Thursday!

I went to Griffith in the 80’s for a Lazarium Pink Floyd show, and the best part was afterward, exiting out the back and seeing the city lights stretching to the horizon in nearly all directions.
If anything, seeing the city lights would be my main reason for visiting Griffith Observatory. I’ve visited Griffith Park many times and it is charming alone. Definitely need to get to the Observatory though.

There are plenty of famous landmarks in California in general that I’ve never seen. Hoping to change that as time passes.
