Or, why the heck isn't the Death Star trench run the mission for Smuggler's Run? With Han and Chewbacca instead of Hondo? Everyone would be going nuts about it. It'd be Star Wars. It'd make sense.

Oh is that why they built Pixar Pier, Pizza Planet, and TRON lightcycles? Because they want to do something that isn’t obvious and hasn’t been discussed for years on Disney fan sites?An X Wing coaster was the most obvious choice for a new Star Wars ride.
Which is why they didn't build it, because they wanted to be smarter than the fans.

I don't think anyone online was suggesting Pixar Pier before the announcement. It caught everyone off guard.

An X-Wing coaster is the sort of lame easy Armchair Imagineering that should be avoided. It’s Space Mountain with a sort of different car. You’re couldn’t even build the eponymous wings.An X Wing coaster was the most obvious choice for a new Star Wars ride.
Which is why they didn't build it, because they wanted to be smarter than the fans.
So what do you suggest? You always seem to tell people what doesn’t work or why something is wrong but never offer any ideas of your own.

If simulators and coasters are all we're going to get from WDI and UNI Creative, can we at least get some good ones?
At least RotR is something different and ambitious by their modern standards.

TRON makes way more sense as a dueling or two track coaster. That was another missed opportunity.

Another Star Wars simulator was a lame idea. There are a lot of good reasons that Star Tours won out over other ideas, including the X-Wing roller coaster. It hits the big dreams of being in a spaceship and seeing the different planets.
What spaceship you’re in is not that big of a factor in getting a good simulator or coaster.

I really don't care for Pixar Pier. They should have left it the way it suppose too. I feel that it shouldn 't be called DCA anymore.
