Toy Story 4 contradicts the themes of the last three Toy Story movies and I don't understand why they did that.

Just got back from seeing it. Don’t know how I feel about it yet. Was kind of bored for the first half. It’s just that after 4 movies we’ve seen all of their tricks. It was a story that didn’t need to be told, as most sequels are. Especially when it’s the 3rd one. I think it’s the kind of movie I’ll appreciate more the next couple times I watch. I thought their were too many characters. The old crew, Rex, Ham, Slinky etc had what, a couple lines each? The first few scenes at the Antique store were my favorites. I was ok with the ending but it didn’t have the same emotional impact that part 3 had.

I still would love to know why these toys would rather die or be severely hurt over a human being finding out their alive.

The voice actors for Mr Potato Head and Slinky had very distinct voices and personalities and both are dead. They need new characters to keep interest in the IP and sell more toys.

I just got back from LEGOLAND and while I enjoyed my time there, I have many strong opinions I can’t wait for them to ask me about via a survey. First, it’s impossible to plan anything there because the info on their website, app, and given verbally via employees all differ and are all wrong. Second, they have gazillions of game booths they try to woo you with that cost millions and give prizes roughly the size of Alaska.

Thankfully Disney hasn’t gone there yet. Yes, I know DCA Pier. But that’s somewhat theme appropriate and the prizes can fit in a suitcase. Both of my kids said LEGOLAND was fun, but it’s no Disneyland. There are times where you can see real effort to attempt to compete, but mostly it’s just pale comparisons. But, we had a good time and my LEGO loving son for years really enjoyed himself. And that’s what matters.

I’m currently at home having just finished feeding my children dinner, while my wife has traveled with a friend to Shanghai Disneyland. She is using the park app, but I’m more savvy at it, so I am using the app here in America, monitoring how lines are going across the park ... across the world.

I get to be the guy in the chair! ;)

It is so weird how phones have changed the experience of going to a park.

And what is with this “all the fast passes are out, but you can buy one for $18 a ride“ pass they got there in Shanghai?

Legoland is fun if you don't treat it like a tourist going commando trying to ride everything. It's one of those relaxing parks where kids can spend hours just building lego cars and racing them while parents sit and watch. It's very much geared towards the local crowd. When the park first opened years ago, a kid could buy an Ambassador pass for $1000. It gives is 4 free tickets per year for life plus all the food and merch discounts and free parking. We only go once a year so it's worth it. My son can go any time he wants for life to any Lego park in the world. Sadly the pass is no longer for sale since 2016.

When they added the hotels, they started aiming to appeal to a different crowd. They should have more focus on making sure they are giving accurate info is all I’m saying. We had fun. My 15 year old spent two hours building a LEGO house. I don’t think she’s ever done that before!

Uh oh! Dad in charge of the house and kids while mom is away!?

Classic!

Let me guess, you burned dinner which caused a small fire, pulled the faucet out trying to put out the fire which hilariously sprayed you all over the face and flooded the kitchen, then slipped in the water covering the floor, ended up on your back with the kids staring at you disapprovingly from above so ordered pizza instead?

Was that Incredibles 2 or Mr. Mom?

You'd think they have a lack of customer problem or something.
