The Miscellaneous Thought Thread

I don't Park Hop at all, so doesn't affect me one bit. But I know its important for those that do, so I'm happy for them. Might also even out the crowds a bit more.

As for if further announcements may come today, don't know. But they usually don't hold multiple announcements back to release in the same day.

I mean the good news should mean it makes reservations a teeny easier, as park hopper just means you need the day to be available, regardless of which park.

For normal ticket buyers, only time you’ll need to pick a park now is for single park tickets.

It sounds like they are still keeping the "starting Park" requirement, at least for now. Just means you'll immediately be able to Park Hop after you enter your starting Park.

Is that it ? Haha they re doing announcing stuff? Meh the 11 am never really affected me as I don’t get there until after then usually but happy for the people who are happy. It was a bigger deal for me when they moved it from 1pm to 11am.
Well, this doesn't match up with Corless saying he's going to WDI at Glendale. So another shoe may drop next week.

Seems the new president seems to care enough to at least react to guest feedback and make improvements. Very positive IMO to see Disney at least talking about improving the guest experience. Can't remember the last time they did that.

Time will tell if they actually follow through, but I hope they do.

I don’t care what they do with Smugglers Run. I won’t ever set foot on that attraction when I’m by myself. It too awkward to have complete interaction. Even when I’m with a group of friends. Galaxy Edge need a third anchor attraction. A roller coaster would be a nice addition.

Screw it. Be bold. Walk in there and request Pilot as a single rider.

Was the dreaded odd man out and had to sit with a single rider on Space Mountain a few months ago. Made a friend. Lady in her 60s. By the time we got off she joked about how much more fun the ride is when under the influence of marijauna. Told her I hadn’t done that but my cousin a few rows ahead of me was doing it as we speak. She recommended i borrow some from him.

She takes it for her "glaucoma". ;)

My suggestion to TDA is to group all the pairs and single riders together. And have the groups of 3+ get their own ship, even if there are empty seats.

I wish I could remember where I ate that day on my first and only trip to DCA 1.0. It wouldn’t have been a sit down place with the group I was with.

During the over-crowded and rather poorly run AP Previews in January, 2001, I distinctly remember having lunch at the food court in the Hollywood Backlot area for my first meal in DCA, in the abandoned warehouse in the corner. The interior was actually decorated sort of fun, even if the outside was cheap and ugly.

Later that winter, I ate with 3 friends at the original Vineyard Room restaurant upstairs at the Winery. It was very good, and the service as impeccable! We also bought Mondavi wine in the shop, and they seamlessly sent it out to the front gate for us in padded security bags because of some law/rule about carrying wine bottles inside the park.

It's funny the things that stick like glue in your memory banks for 25 years, and the things that are completely forgotten.

I can't decide how embarrassing that is for them to have to admit that. 😲

Either they have to admit they've been bad at maintenance, they have been cheaping out specifically on ride maintenance creating park-wide bad reliability, and haven't been good hosts to their paying guests.

Or...

They have to admit they've been bad at maintenance, they have been cheaping out on a lot of things including ride maintenance creating park-wide bad reliability, and haven't been good hosts to their paying guests.
