The Land Balloons

I haven’t seen the balloons in the Land working lately. Why have they been made not to move?

On a side note, the mobile in the WoL building was turned on and working last time I went in there. It was right at the end of the Flower and Garden Festival. I stood there for 15 minutes just watching it.

I think this falls in the category of "Why?" a lot of things with Disney. Not sure. I cant imagine the the mechanism that runs the balloons is that complex, but then again, the steam on E:E is not working for weeks and I just dont think that is complex either.

:shrug:

Though I could be wrong, I don't think the balloons have worked in years - Perhaps since they changed their themes. Can anyone confirm/bust this?

Oh if only the Grizz were still around. I do recall as a child watching those balloons. *sigh* I mean seriously. All you need is a generator with a pull systems and VIOLA, you have then going up, down, up down.

I miss Grizz...And yes, I watched them too. We always had lunch, below them...by a FOUNTAIN...in a CALM setting.:fork::lol: I LOVE the Land, now, and it's new look...But the resturant has so lost it's charm. Dinning there (something that was a tradition) isn't fun it's a hassle... We might journey into Commun-Innoventions for Electric Umbrella next time.:lol:

I didn't even realize they ever did ANYTHING.
I'm not too bummed out that they don't anymore, though. I mean, at least they had a legitimate excuse to stop them.
