They've been giving Figment a lot of love this year. Let's see:

-- Figment's Imagination Station, with an animatronic and projections from the ride, replications of parts of the mural and even the pin tables from the old ImageWorks
-- A nighttime light show featuring audio from the original ride
-- A meet 'n' greet coming at some point later this year

Could an Imagination Pavilion overhaul announcement be in the cards?

That feels like it should’ve been a part of last year’s D23 instead of just a meet and greet; something he’s already had.
Then again, given that the ride itself turns 40 this year, maybe they were waiting to do the announcement at Destination D23 this September. For the most part, I feel most of the Parks Panel focuses on Disneyland, which is only fitting since the Expo is held directly across the way from the backside of DCA.

Destination D23, on the other hand, takes place at the Contemporary Resort, right on WDW property. I have a feeling more WDW news gravitates towards being announced on the home turf.

That Idealbuildout guy always does a great job. I wish I could create maps like he does, his 💩 is always on point baby.

I wonder why Universal always goes with the racetrack style over the wagon wheel style.

I think they don't want to look like the competition. That being said though, I always find it a pain in the buttocks to get to the front at the end of the day. There are no shortcuts from the back areas, not even a boat or train.

IoA did have a boat service when it first opened, but it wasn't very popular, so they got rid of it.

Yeah, I know. It's too bad they ditched it.

You can understand why though. The park actually wasn't very popular before the boy wizard came in. Here's hoping they bring it back now that it is, I'm too lazy to walk around.

There are various reasons. Retention/detention ponds and such are a big one. It also can help with guest flow to know where they have been and what they still have to do.

Universal Studios Florida is a Grid Lagoon based hybrid. It was originally made that way out of Studio function as well as its environments.

It also avoids the bottleneck or crowding in lands near the front of the park that you see happening in many ways. It creates an issue with people who backtrack a lot to not have a spoke design. It also distributes the crowds quicker.

Pros and Cons.

So like... has anyone else had this living in their head rent-free since they saw it?

🙋🏻‍♂️

I'm pleasantly surprised that they included "Belle (Reprise)" in this medley. Belle is normally represented during the romance section so to see her in a village/pre-Beast moment is special. If they do a Disney100 special in October, they should get the original and current voice actors (since Paige is no longer doing Belle's voice) to do this medley live.
