Congratulations on making it into the FINAL THREE! Let’s just make this intro short and simple, your next project is to design a NEW Parade for Magic Kingdom, it can be a Daytime OR Nighttime Parade.

So here are the MUSTS:
-Story of the Parade (some kind of connection between the floats, like emotion Dream, Fantasy)
-at least 8 floats with vivid descriptions INCLUDING effects
-Creative Name
-Script (doesn’t have to be WHOLE THING, at least ROUGH outline of what will be said)
-List of characters and music associated with EACH Float
-at least 5 of your floats must have SOME SORT OF visual to show (either picture of the float, as in drawing OR a similar float from another parade that might be modified, etc.)


NOTE TO JUDGES: If you have any criteria you think is missing PLEASE feel free to PM me and I can change the MUST NEEDS... Thanks…

This project is ***DUE SATURDAY NOVEMBER21th ***I will begin scoring on Sunday… NO LATE PROJECTS NO EXCEPTIONS

^ Something like this, please. It doesn't have to be AS detailed and stuff, I did this over the course of a long time. Of course, Spectromagic has the theme of the Spectromen powering the parade with the Blue Fairy's (or, currently, Mickey's) magic. Of course, you don't HAVE to come up with anything as intense as that. The general "theme" of my version of the parade parade, as you can see, was Earth, Water, and Sky. I never finished, though. I couldn't come up with a good enough finale float, AN ESSENTIAL part of any parade (winkwinknudgenudgesaynomoreeh?)...

Just put work into it, okay?

Sure i will try to clarify :)

Before i start i should say that ALL floats dont need effects and such... But by effects i mean, anything that makes this movign vehicle with decorations on it PLUSSED, like if you were making a nighttime parade (like in Specto) where the lights go from colored to white, how would that be done. OR if you have projections throughout the floats, or even if simple as a rotating carousel if your theme was the lands of MK.

Basically i mean how would the effect work and why would it enhance the show, what is its purpose?? Once again, NOT ALL floats have to have "effects".

Here is my example of how i would LOVE LOVE LOVE your projects to be presented, etc. I think these have EVERYTHING that i would like to see (except the drawings)

This is my Once Upon a Nightmare Parade:

Once Upon A Nightmare Parade
-Themed to Disney Villains
-The main score for the parade is "It's Good to be Bad" from MNSSHP Parade
- It is as if all the villains dreams are coming true, but they are everyone elses nightmares.

Opening- "Grim Grinning Ghosts" score
Cruella- "Cruella DeVille"
Frollo- "Hellfire"
Ursula- "Poor Unfortunate Souls"
Maleficent- "It's Good to Be Bad"
Hades- "It's Good to Be Bad"
Chernabog- "Night on Bald Mountain"
Scar- "Be Prepared
Jafar- either "You're Only Second Rate" or "Prince Ali" reprise
Queen of Hearts-+ Who's Been Painting the Roses?"

-- Opening
Song: "It's Good to be Bad"
Characters: devils
---It is as if the villains took the parade Once Upon a Dream, and turned it into their own parade, that is why Dream is scribbled out and Nightmare is written in what looks like blood.
----The ongoing route walkers are dressed as devils

-- Cruella (between Opening and Frollo)
Song: "Cruella DeVile"
Characters: Cruella, Horace, Jasper
---The float as if Cruella kidnapped the puppies (the cage in the back) and is continuing to make her dalmation coat
---Horace and Jasper walk behind and behind them is the van that is used to capture the puppies

--Frollo (between Cruella and Ursula)
Song: "Hellfire"
Characters: Frollo
--- Frollo will be atop a float themed as his room, with fireplace behind him and bookstand infront of him.
--- On the bottom of the float at gardgoyle designs, like the outside of the Notre Dame.
--- the fire place will have Esmerelda's scarf on top near flames
--- flames will have animated projection to make it look like Esmerelda is dancing in the flames like in the movie
--- coming out of the chimniy is smoke
--- behind the chimny is a replica of Notre Dame (that is what the black circle, square and lines represent)

-- Ursula (between Frollo and Maleficent)
Song: "Poor Unfortunate Souls"
Characters: Ursula, Flotsam and Jetsom
--- Ursula is on the float with the crown and the triton, as if she finally defeated King Triton (her dream), on one side is her cauldron, and on the other is a rock feature
--- Flotsam and Jetsom follow behind, made like a Chinese Dragon, like when used in a Chinese celebration

-- Maleficent (between Ursula and Hades)
Song: "It's Good to be Bad" (for right now)
Characters: Maleficent, and Henchmen
--- Maleficent is on top of a float as if she is turning into the dragon, because she will have green flame looking things all around her with cauldron in front
--- then on the rocks behind her is her Raven
--- There will be fog coming from around the rock and on the other side is the dragon, shooting fire
--- Traveling beside Maleficent float are three of her henchmen on each side

-- Hades (between Maleficent and Chernabog)
Song: "It's Good to be Bad"
Characters: Hades, Pain, Panic, 3 Fates, and several gods
--- Hades is on top a rock formation on two sides, looking like is in Hades
--- On either side of Hades is an AA Pain and Panic
--- Walking behind the float are the three fates
--- Walking beside the float are two- three gods, locked up (Hades dream, everyone's nightmare)

-- Chernabog (between Hades and Scar)
Song: "Night on Bald Mountain"
Characters: Chernabog and souls
--- similar to the SpectroMagic Chernabog parade float (I couldn't find a picture)
--- It will have projections around it to make it look as if souls/ ghosts are flying around him

-- Scar (between Chernabog and Jafar)
Song: "Be Prepared"
Characters: Scar and Hyenas
--- Everything on the float will be AA
--- AA Scar will be near top
--- several AA Hyenas will be around the float as if from the movie, in the performace of Be PRepared
--- Grey outlines are suppose to be bones from the elephant graveyard
--- on back will be an AA Zazu trapped in bone cage, singing quietly to himself, "it's a small world"
--- three walking hyenas will be on either side of the float


-- Jafar (between Scar and Queen of Hearts)
Song: "You're Only Second Rate" or "Prince Ali" reprise
Characters: Jafar
--- Jafar will be on top of the float that is shaped like his snake form, and behind him is a giant Cave of Wonders
--- Jafar is standing behind a table with the lamp on it.
--- Behind the Cave of Wonders is a giant lamp with his Genie form coming out of it (not pictured)
--- walking along side is 2 devils walking beside
--- an AA Iago sits atop the Cave of Wonders


-- Queen of Hearts (between Jafar and the Closing)
Song: "Who's been Painting the Roses?"
Characters: Queen of Heats and cards
--- the Queen will be on a float like her garden with some white and some red roses
--- on the float will be the Queen with her croquet stick and a card
--- walking beside the float will be three cards, with paint brushes, ladders, and buckets
--- the topiary behind her will be shaped like a heart

-- Closing (after Queen of Hearts)
Song: Its Good to be Bad
Characters: various Villians
--- will be like a haunted house type buildings, with villains around
--- each balcony will have a villian
--- walking in front and around the float will be a few of the devils, but mostly villains including Stromboli, Medusa, Yzma, Captain Hook, and more


PS This is my idea from my Disney Resort Africa thread if you didnt know :)

I ALSO FORGOT TO PUT IN THE CRITERIA: Description of what is happening between floats (such as characters, dance numbers, or mini floats, like the ursula float in spectro)...

I hope you understand.

At this time,my computer has crashed. I was given a disk that was supposed to fix it,but it looks as though it will not help.


I may not have a working computer for a while. I have my iPod,but it can not fullfill the needs of the project.

Don't count me out yet,but things don't look good.:(

AND WDWVactioner, that is ok, just let me know either BY the DUE DATE that you CAN or CANT post it and im sorry if arent able too.. Maybe once you get your computer BACK UP (if your out of the comp) you could post your parade idea... B/c i would love to hear it, that is AFTER the due date of 11/21 and if you ARENT in the comp.. Hope you understand. :)

- The float will look like a steamboat, like in the cartoon, and in his spot, Steamboat Willie will be standing there waving and “directing” the boat.

Characters: Old Mickey, Regular Day Mickey
- This float will be like a snow globe, where you have vintage Mickey and then smoke comes up and Regular Day Mickey shows up. It shows how Mickey changed from what he was originally like and how we view him today. This effect would be made by a trap door on the floor that allows the two separate Mickey’s to change spots when the smoke goes up.

(In between, the brooms from Fantasia will be walking around and interacting with the crowd.)

Characters: Sorcerer Mickey
- In this float, Sorcerer Mickey will be up on the cliff and will be directing the water to come up. The water will really be thrusted onto the cliff with small jets located on the edge of the float.

So I picked a handful of characters that almost everyone loves band put them onto one big float.

The Welcoming Announcement Is:
“Ladies and gentlemen! Boys and girls! Join us for a look into history. A look into the world of Animation. In our Fantasy and Fable Parade!!”
