Gringotts Bank of Challenges – for Hufflepuff 4. Design a new restaurant anywhere in WDW
mc4

I would transform the Odyssey Pavilion, strategically located between Future World and World Showcase, into an International Buffet featuring cuisine from countries that are not currently represented in World Showcase. Experiencing different food is another way to appreciate cultural diversity. Examples of food that should be included are: Brazilian, Thai, Caribbean, Irish, Greek, and Indian. While a wide variety could be on the menu at any time, there is also the option to highlight a particular countries delicacies on special nights, or for a longer period of time. The annual Food and Wine Festival underscores how popular different foods can be, and an International Buffet would help make that a permanent addition to the Epcot experience.

Gringotts Bank of Challenges – for Hufflepuff 5. Give a temporary Star Wars overlay to a classic Disney attraction
mc5

You can’t get any more classic than It’s A Small World, and it would be whimsical to transform it into It’s Star Wars World. The dancing characters of the pavilion would be re-costumed to portray iconic characters across the spectrum of the Star Wars universe, beginning with those created for the prequels. Picture one of those cute dolls looking like Princess Leia, or Han Solo, or even Darth Vader. For the temporary overlay, a few additions could be brought from Star Wars, like two sun rises in one of the rooms, or a model of the Millennium Falcon suspended overhead. Of course, the transformation would not be complete with incorporating Star Wars into the familiar music of the attraction. Imagine, “It's a world of Jedis, lightsabres too, Can you find Darth Vader ‘fore he sees you? You can fight Boba Fett; Jar Jar Binks could be next. It's Star Wars world after all.”

Gringotts Bank of Challenges – for Hufflepuff 6. With the recent success of The Jungle Book, include the film somehow in the parks
mc6

While Animal Kingdom may seem like the natural place to add elements of The Jungle Book, I believe that the Jungle Cruise in the Magic Kingdom could use a tune-up. I would propose using audio-animatronic characters of Mowgli, Bagheera, and Baloo to infuse the Jungle Cruise with new energy. I envision the characters drawing people to the ride, and their voices heard while in the queue. Early in the ride those characters can “appear in audio-animatronic form to provide a preview of what guests will see further down their river journey. As the Jungle Cruise nears its end, Mowgli (another AA) shares reflections on the trip.

Gringotts Bank of Challenges – for Hufflepuff 7. Add a new attraction to Main Street U.S.A. in WDW
mc7

Over the years there have been multiple attractions that highlighted Walt Disney, including “One Man’s Dream” at Hollywood Studios and “The Walt Disney Story” in the Magic Kingdom. I would propose a NEW Walt Disney’s Story” on Main Street U.S.A. hosted by an audio-animatronic figure of Walt. I would use the figure of Walt Disney we came to know in his later years, when he was pitching stories on the Wonderful World of Color. Advances in both audio-animatronics and sound technology, would enable a world-class portrayal of Uncle Walt. Vocal recordings of him could be remastered into his audio-animatronic voice, or a voice impersonator could be used. Since Disney passed away in 1966, this attraction would give young visitors a glimpse into the creative genius who launched the Disney Empire.

Gringotts Bank of Challenges – for Hufflepuff 8. Room of Requirement Challenge – Suggest a new design for the entry to Epcot.
mc8

In my opinion, the addition of the “Leave a Legacy” monuments at the entry to Epcot sent the wrong message about what people were about to experience as they were about to pass under Spaceship Earth. I would begin a new design by removing the mausoleum monuments. Flower planting beds would be restored on either side of the existing central planting bed, but rather than used to merely create paths to stream you into the park, they could be much more random in design and allow for benches for guests to relax at the end of their visit and savor “one last look” at the shiny icon that symbolizes Epcot. At the outer edges of the entry, I would add walls of fountains, which would add a cooling element by day (with height of the fountains adjusted due to wind conditions). At night, these same fountains would be beautifully lit—adding one more sensual element to our memory before our departure.

Alright I'm back, here's my idea for what the meet and greet area would be like. These meet and greets will be themed for each of them including some being covered to avoid the rainy weather and the other can be out in the open.

Ever since Camp Minnie Mickey closed in 2014 to make way for Avatar Land. Thumper and Miss Bunny (The female bunny that flirted with Thumper) aren't that easy for guests to meet that often since the Dinoland dance party with the characters ended a year or two ago and were easy to find back when Camp Minnie Mickey was around. This resulted in both of the bunnies showing up randomly. You can sometimes find them near the entrance to Animal Kingdom but that's it. However this meet and greet area is where you can meet Thumper,Miss Bunny and even some of his sisters. Thumper,Miss Bunny, and his sisters meet and greet area when it's rainy or wet outside can be located inside a burrow. The burrow contains three or two sections.

Section 1 (Thumper)

Section 2 (Miss Bunny)

Section 3 (Thumper's five/four sisters)

Sometimes you can be able to meet Thumper and Miss Bunny together during certain days and you might catch his sisters playing or messing with him since Thumper is there big brother. The burrow will contain leaves and bunny paw prints on the ground. On good days when it's not rainy or to bad outside. This can be an area where guests can relax in the cool shade (Complete with cool air) and kids can relax and play.

On days when the weather is good, you can find the bunnies meeting at a patch based on the scene where Thumper gives his speech about eating greens. Mainly the scene where Bambi encounters Thumper and his family again. This area will contain some good shade and will feature alot of flowers.

Once this ever finally opens in Animal Kingdom. This will also mark the first time since the late 70's that Flower the Skunk has been seen at Walt Disney World and any of the Disney parks for over 30/40 years. For the outside meet and greet area, guests can meet Flower right next to the area where the bunnies are at. The area will contain a flower patch which is where Bambi first meet him. Flower will also be given a brand new design compared to his 60's and 70's appearance. He can sometimes be seen smelling flowers and can get very bashful just by doing anything to make him happy.

Flower-hibernating.jpg

However during days when it's raining, guests can find Flower inside a tree stump based on the scene where Thumper and Bambi find him after ice skating. This meet and greet location will contain leaves and twigs and you can sometimes find Flower sitting on a patch of leaves. However during the winter season, Flower won't be meeting guests since Winter is when some animals start hibernating. So you are able to meet him during the Spring - Fall seasons of the year.

The area music can play various songs from Bambi such as "April Showers", "Love Is A Song" and "Let's sing a gay little spring song". This location will also look like the forest straight out of Bambi.

Update: The woodland area can be located behind Kali River Rapids and can be an expansion to the park. All I need is some illustrations for these meet and greet locations to really make it more interesting for readers on this forum.

Star Wars Overlay Mini-Challenge: Ravenclaw Submission
la-trb-review-star-wars-season-force-disneyland-20151113

Due to the popularity and success of Hyperspace Mountain at Disneyland, Space Mountain in the Magic Kingdom will get a Star Wars Overlay for the next few years, in anticipation of the winter movie releases. With Rogue One this December, Episode 8 in 2017, and more to follow, this will be a seasonal holiday overlay that will take a classic attraction and give it a Star Wars makeover. The soundtrack will be to the classic John Williams score, and you'll rocket through outer space, dodging Tie-Fighters as you help the Rebels defeat the Empire. Equipped with special effects such as laser blasts and more, this will add to the experience on the ride. Overall, Hyperspace Mountain will be a thrilling new makeover in Tomorrowland.

New Jungle Book: Ravenclaw Submission
the_jungle_book_poster_key_art.jpg

The Bare Necessities will be a new walk-through and shop replacing the Rainforest Cafe at the entrance of Disney's Animal Kingdom. As you enter the area, you will step into the world of the Jungle Book and walk through the jungle. Reminiscent of the areas at Disney's Hollywood Studios such as the Narnia and Pirates walk-throughs, this will be something that shows off the designs of the film, but in an atmosphere that fits in Animal Kingdom.

The Bare Necessities will be a gift-shop located at the end of the walk-through. It will sell merchandise from the film and more, in a location that is off the path of the entrance to the park, but is still a transition from the parking lot to the Oasis.

The new Woodland area located behind Kali River Rapids will also contain a gift shop. This gift shop will be similar to the gift shop found at Disneyland's Mad Hatter shop at Fantasyland mixed with a forest feeling. The building is a big tree that contains various AK merchandise and easier access to find any Bambi merchandise. You can find Meeko stuffed animals to a talking Thumper and Flower plush. There's also an alarm clock that features rabbit holes and when every it strikes a certain time. A few bunnies will pop out and the clock will play a bit of "April Showers". There is also a hole in a wall that guests to lesson and you can hear Friend Owl having a conversation with various Disney animals. There is also a second floor which serves as an interactive play area.

Give a temporary Star Wars overlay to a classic Disney attraction

Coming in the Fall of 2016 will be a temporary Star Wars overlay to one of Disney's most iconic attractions the Jungle Cruise and will be renamed, The Endor Jungle Cruise. Set on the far reaches of Endor, the ride will be re-themed to place you in the heart of the Rebellion as you board a rebel river cruiser with your mission to continue scouting for hidden imperial forces. Along the way you'll encounter native animals to Endor including the Ewoks, but also spot and outrun a few stormtroopers. While the ride will take on a slightly more serious tone, there will still be time for a few corny jokes from your rebel pilot. In one scene the pilot will give you the heads up that you are approaching an area you know the Ewoks have set up a trap and when you round the corner at one of the beach scenes you'll find a destroyed AT ST when your pilot will dry proclaim that "Well Ewokked into that one".

Design a new restaurant anywhere in WDW

Coming to the Magic Kingdom and the Fantasyland area will be a new restaurant Crepes De La Cruella. Putting those pitiful crepes in World Showcase out of their misery, this sit down restaurant will feature a wide variety of crepes including Nutella crepes, crepes suzette, ham and cheese crepes and too many more to name. A small variety of other breakfast and brunch items will also be available on the menu. The interior will be patterned after the old Deville Estate, Hell Hall and provide a permanent breakfast meet and greet for Cruella and will introduce Pongo and Perdita as regular guests as well. During the Halloween season Cruella will be joined for character meals by a rotating cast of her favorite evil pals
