Battle Of Hogwarts
Hufflepuff vs. Ravenclaw

Just like the challenge above states, you both are tasked to "create a themed ice-cream or dessert location at one of Walt Disney World's theme parks, water parks or Disney Springs." and "Also, your dessert location must include a backstory, a menu and a map that shows how your concept fits in with existing areas. In addition, your tribe is not permitted to remove or change current structures that are onstage or in view of guests. The rest it up to you!"

This project is due June 28th on Tuesday at 11:59 PM EST.;)

Good Luck! Imagineers Ready? GO!
Wow, using one of my own challenges against me... ;):p

Your task is to create a new E-ticket for Walt Disney World based on a novel. Any novel! Just be creative.

This project is due June 28th on Tuesday at 11:59 PM EST.
Could we design a whole new land around the particular E-Ticket? Like one of the pavilions in World Showcase or the size of Liberty Square?

Looks like I need to step up my game :p.

That's fine! :D I have no issue with that at all.
Could we base the E-Ticket off of multiple stories, or would we have to stick to one specific story/ book?

Secondary question, are comics (aside from Marvel, naturally) fair game?

Gringotts Bank of Challenges- Temp Star Wars Overlay- Gryffindor
"It's a (Darth) Maul World"

d7xefiewuyqai1c0nsjs.jpg

The happiest cruise that ever sailed gets a new temporary overlay to celebrate Star Wars Summer 2017. Enjoy sailing around the various Star Wars locations like Ednor, Hoth, and Tatooine with newly designed locations. Guests will celebrate the iconic characters that populate the Star Wars franchise. Taking inspiration from the style of Mary Blair, new figures have been added to the ride to represent beloved characters like Luke, Leia, Yoda, Chewbacca, Darth Vader, and of course, Darth Maul. While the classic song remains, small additions will be added to form a cohesive Star Wars theme. This overlay will only last for the summer 2017 season so get your tickets soon!

Gringotts Bank of Challenges- "Re-design a Disney dark ride as a coaster"- Gryffindor Submission
Peter Pan's Fright

ddeadb6ab20f1b65beea810880e11548.jpg

Have you ever wanted to fly like Peter Pan? No, not on a boat that flies over London- actually flying through the air like the boy who refuses to grow up. Guests will board the Jolly Roger and make their way through the interior as the queue. Once they are ready to board the coaster, guests will sit in a coaster that borrows from the technology of the Batwing from Six Flags. As the ride starts, you will be sprinkled with pixie dust and begin to take flight. Once at the top of the first lift hill your vehicle will flip upside down so that you are literally flying through the air with nothing but a support bar to hold you in place.
1587

As you fly over the water you will spot Skull Rock, water falls, mermaids, and the Lost Boys welcoming you home to Neverland.
tumblr_static_f24cjg4yjxss80g4s000w84wc.jpg

Once your flight is over you return to the Jolly Roger and back to your Disney vacation. But for three solid minutes, you took flight and became one with the wind.

Star Wars Overlay Mini Challenge

Country Ewok Jamboree - For Gryffindor!

databank_ewok_01_169_747db03a.jpeg

Inspired by my brilliant teammate @Fox&Hound - I am going to overlay a classic attraction featured on the opening day Magic Kingdom E-ticket back in 1971, Country Bear Jamboree.

Themed to Endor and the Ewok Village, Ewoks will join the Country Bears in sing-alongs rethemed to various Star Wars themes.

Songs such as:

Blood on a Lightsaber
My Jabba Ain't Pretty (But He Don't Swear None)
Ewok Band Serenade
Han, We Did What We Could
All the Sith That Turn Me On Turn Me Down (Kylo Ren special edition)
Vader, Don't Whip Little Luke
and more!

While keeping the same style and flare, this will be a tradition on Star Wars Day (May the 4th) and will be a comical yet cherishing event for all. It will also bring in more people to the Country Bears than before!

I'm back, after the help of @MonorailRed I got more info for a forest section in AK which will contain a few Ares such as Bambi and Brother Bear

The area has one section themed to Bambi called "Bambi's Forest" while another is themed after Brother Bear.

For the attractions, I'm going to avoid making this new land not be like A Bug's Land or Chester and Hester's since most of the attractions found there might or had used the same type of ride style seen in a typical amusement park or a carnival.

For the Bambi attractions you would have a fun maze where you encounter some of Bambi's friends such as Friend Owl or some of Thumper's sisters similar to the Alice Maze at Paris but not as a big. Another would be an indoor dark ride, and the last can be tea cup style ride based on the Ice Skating scene with Bambi and Thumper.

The Brother Bear attraction might be an indoor roller coaster similar to 7DMT with a mix of Space Mountain.

I will get to the meet and greets sections soon but I'm picturing the Bambi meet and greet location at the Bambi section to be called "Bambi's Friends" similar to the Pooh meet and greet area at Disneyland. Can't wait to hear how you would imagine the attraction to look like with a bit of detail for each of them.

Room of Requirement Challenge - For Gryffindor!

Last Room of Requirement Challenge I re-opened River Country and added some more aesthetic touches to the Fort Wilderness area, and for this Room of Requirement Challenge I will be expanding on my original concept and designing a outdoor adventure area in association with Sturdy Branches (the fitness center at Wilderness Lodge Villas)

fort-wilderness-recreation-map.jpg

Nestled along the exercise walking trail in-between Fort Wilderness and the Wilderness Lodge will be a variety of outdoor exercise activities that blends in with the wilderness theme.

Such as Rock Climbing, hiking, Wilderness Survival instructional camps, and more.

The most anticipated addition though coming with the Sturdy Branches area will be the exhilarating Zip-Line attraction!
2.jpg

Climb up above the tree tops and board a zip line from the Wilderness Lodge that will take you through the trees, with a view of River Country, before dropping off at the Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground. This Zip Line attraction, coupled with the more varied outdoor activities offered in the resort area, will hopefully expand upon the additions I made in Year Five for the Room of Requirement and bring new life to the Resort area.

The Seven Potters Challenge
7 Islands

1. Geyser Mountain
Now found where Tom Sawyer’s Island used to be located is Geyser Gulch. The only way to reach Geyser Gulch is by taking rafts to the island. Found here are many small geyser and one large E ticket Geyser Mountain a large drop tower attraction. Basic story: you were mining on the island and stumbled across an active geyser.
image.jpeg

2. Tom’s Cave Explorer Rafts
Board a raft at the Tom Sawyer dock and take of into an unexplored cave. Along the was are bats dark spaces and water falls so be careful. The highlight will be a cavern full of the colors of the rainbow reflecting of waterfalls and crystals. The ride vehicle is a version f the current rafts but a little bigger and with benches. This ride would give families that don't like thrill rides something else to do other than the country bear jamboree.

3. Bear Country
Found on the old Tom Sawyer’s island is now Bear Country National Park. The backstory: Bears were being hunted and taken away left and right all of the area around the island was running out of bears. Now Henry the host of the Country Bear Jamboree complained that if all the bears go away then he won't have any new talent for his show. So they made the island a bear safe zone for any bears to come. Found on the island are the new Grizzly Hall and the Hungry bear Restaurant.

4. Sleepy Hollow
Every Halloween Tom Sawyers Island is shut down and Turned into a Horror Trail Searching for the Headless Horsemen. Accessed by a temporary bridge to Liberty Square. This Would truly be a horrifying experience only for teens and adults. It would be like the Disney version of Halloween Horror Nights mazes.
This would add a new adult experience to a park with very little.

5. Pocahontas Native American Territory.
Based on the animated film this new mini land represents a topic unexplored in Frontierland. Adding to three new attractions the first is a Native American village to teach you what their life was like and how hard it was a times. The Second is the Native American Canoes take a canoes around the island for a smooth and scenic ride. Lastly is Just Around The River Bend: a Pocahontas Adventure. A pirates of the Caribbean style ride themed around the movie Pocahontas.

6. Ant Island
Based on the Pixar film a Bugs Life this is a land dedicated to it on the island. With Many small flat rides the area above ground is more active then ever. Moving in from animal kingdom is It’s Tough To Be A Bug. The Queue goes through the caves from Tom Sawyer’s Island. You can also meet and greet flik and atta from the movie.

7. Lewis and Clack Raft Expedition
Lewis and Clark Rafting Expedition is a white water rafting ride a lot like the one originally planned for Disney's America. The length of the ride would be similar to grizzly river run. The highlights of this ride are 3 major drops and audio animatronics of Lewis Clark and Sakajawa. Unfortunately the river boat would have to close down for this attraction. This would be the wettest ride in the wilderness.

The Seven Potters Challenge - For Gryffindor!

1 - Western River Expedition
ThunderMesaOverviewB.png

With this replacement for Tom Sawyer Island, due to the size and expansiveness of the replacement, the Rivers of America will be narrowed, thus making the Liberty Belle Riverboat more of a walk-through, rather than a ride. Nevertheless, this replacement will be worth it as a massive E-ticket attraction will take guests through the Frontiers of America on a raft ride through the untamed wilderness. Nestled next to Big Thunder Mountain, Frontierland will now have a large and expansive mountain range that would rival the real American West. The attraction itself will be a dark ride/thrill ride with plenty of physical and visual effects throughout the attraction. It will be the new shining piece of Frontierland for all to see.

2 - The Oregon Trail

Oregon-Trail-Violations.jpg

Ok no..not the computer game:p The actual Oregon Trail...

The Oregon Trail will be a walk through interactive expedition around Frontierland and finishing at the Frontierland Station, (doubling as the Transcontinental Railroad) This adventure will be a hiking trail that will have a bridge that you must climb over the Rivers of America, passing the backside of the Pocahontas area on the Walt Disney World Railroad. Continuing your trail you'll walk around Big Thunder Mountain which will offer spectacular vistas of the mountain from a wide variety of angles. You'll then finish at the Railroad station where the Oregon Trail ends.

3 - Cars Land
Cars-Land-At-Night-Wide.jpg

Gosh I'm selling out and I'm only on the 3rd replacement:hilarious: If the Tom Saywer Island is removed and the Rivers of America filled up, there is a huge expansive land area right there for a version of Cars Land. It may not be as magnificent or as awe-inspiring as the one in California due to space limitations, however, an altered version of it with just a dark ride of the Radiator Springs Racers attraction, and walk through trails of the area, could work.

The attraction would add a popular addition the the Magic Kingdom, and add to the Frontier mountain range as well, with canyons of Arizona. Overall, while an IP, it could be an option down the road, if it doesn't get placed in DHS (even though I want it to stay only in DCA)

4 - The Grand Canyon
Disneyland_Santa_Fe_RR.jpg

While not the real Grand Canyon, this replacement will offer guests the opportunity to travel and explore the trails of Arizona and one of earth's 7 natural wonders. On this walking trail, you can see audio-animatronic animals and effects that add to the experience of being in the caverns of the Grand Canyon. You can also climb to the top of the canyons for an amazing view of the Magic Kingdom and the rest of Frontierland. From the Walt Disney World Railroad as well, this will offer a nice easter egg to the Grand Canyon Dinorama on the Disneyland Railroad. Overall, this addition will spice up the Tom Sawyer Island area, and add to the Frontierland aesthetic.

5 - Yellowstone
Yellowstone-Teton-Elk-Sunset.jpg

Phew - #5, following in the same vein as the Grand Canyon, another one of our National Parks here in the Frontiers of America, Yellowstone National Park. Another walk-through interactive area akin to Tom Sawyer Island, however themed to the National Park in our West. Equipped with audio animatornics and informational posts along the way, exploring the history of Yellowstone, this attraction will also tie into the Wilderness Lodge as well. Since Big Thunder Mountain is inspired by Bryce Canyon in Utah, the location of Wyoming and Montana somewhat east and North of BTMR actually fits the geography of the land. Making this a realistic option in order to keep the American Map in tact (which Splash Mountain kinda ruined, but nevertheless)

6 - Stage Coach Ride Thru the West

FrontierlandTrio.jpg

A make-believe island in Colorado in the 1860s, Frestwood Island will be the new Tom Sawyer Island, offering stage coach rides through the wilderness. This will be a unique attraction for WDW and the Magic Kingdom. Using actual horses, like the ones on Main Street, this attraction will be inspired by the Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground, and give guests a live in park view of what it was like in the old west. With a backstory in play about Art Frestwood and his western island, this will add to the depth of Frontierland as well.

7 - Rainbow Caverns

be49a133a7e3999014b14ca369ef8ada.jpg

Keeping the island in tact and replacing the theme with an exploration theme through the caverns of the wilderness, rainbow caverns will be a breath-taking walk through attraction. Imagine sailing to an island now for magic and mysticism. When you depart your raft and begin to trek through the island, you walk into these magnificent caverns that glow in rainbow colors. The colors surround you and embellish you with awe. This will bring some Magic back to the Magic Kingdom and also add to the supernatural aspects of Frontierland (especially with the runaway ghost mine train next door)
