Trip Report The Holiday Humdinger *COMPLETED*

I can't believe the Summer of @Tuvalu is over! Is there going to be a holiday humdinger trip report?!!

I couldn’t disappoint a very expectant mama-to-be, now could I? Especially one who was kind enough to provide the title for this trip report!

So here you go, @krisri18......and anyone else who’d like to follow along on yet another Tuvalu WDW adventure, HOLIDAY STYLE.

I plan on posting live updates and will write an expanded report (“Part Tu” @Tony the Tigger ) once I return home. After all, what else will I have to do in December?

Who: Tuvalu and Woody

When: November 27 - December 3, 2018
Where: I shouldn’t even have to tell you. My go-to.

So be on the lookout for us, @DisneyShe, @slipperalwaysfits @mcstensrud. We’ve packed our sweaters and jeans for the chilly weekdays (highs only near 60, lows in the 40s ~ WTH??) and our shorts and tees for the unseasonably warm weekend (highs in the 80s). Yeah, that 30 degree temperature swing isn’t going to help the colds Woody and I are starting with.....

But we’re going to DISNEY WORLD!!!!

Except the Skyliner isn’t over the World Showcase Lagoon.

Haha, true. On the Poseidon website they had a little blurb about how Disney was using their barges as bridges in connection with building some kind of 'gateway' associated with the Skyliner. I don't think I can post the link?

I concede even before an ice cream challenge with you starts! My body can’t handle frequent creamy treats. You win hands down!

Good morning from WL!

Though you may not be able to tell, there’s a YUGE line waiting to get into Whispering Canyon.

Good thing we’ve already had breakfast.

Though we’ve been up for a couple hours, my cold has worsened and I am moving a bit more slowly. Not making rope drop, but we have FPs so no worries.

We are back in our room resting now....I’m pretty worn out from all the walking.....this cold is sapping my energy. Still had lots of fun!

Before leaving the Lodge we stopped for a family pic. This picture really gives perspective of just how giant in circumference the tree is, in addition to its height.

The lobby photo with the Christmas tree is beautiful. In my opinion, Wilderness Lodge has the most impressive lobby of ANY of the WDW hotels. And yes, I even prefer it over the gorgeous lobby of the GF.

We got to the bus stop just as the Epcot bus was boarding. So far we have had decent luck with WL bus service. Em and I breezed through security as there were fewer backpacks than normal.

But lest you think I am the only one who turns Mickey’s head blue......

The CM in purple called over the “suit” to make sure Woody was legit.

Woody has poor digital fingerprints and often gets lectured by CMs: “Are you using the right finger?” “Is that the same finger you used last time?” “Is it possible your ticket has expired?”

The impatient, condescending tones of the CMs start to irk him after awhile. Woody figures Mickey’s head turns blue for him about 50 percent of the time. Usually a second try at the tapstile resolves the issue without needing a “suit” to verify his authenticity.

Not today!

Just a few moments later Woody was allowed into the park and we visited our first attraction.

We scored glider B and were treated to a nearly straight Eiffel Tower.

Followed by front row seats on the Farm Ride.

We found Nemo.

And had front row seats to see Figgy.

We completed all 5 attractions in just under two hours.

Em selected our lunch location.

When we finished we went on the Chip and Dale ornament hunt! Em and I had fun doing this last year and she wanted a repeat.

No cheating this time, we found them all!
