HI!

Its 48 degrees here and overcast. There is a cold front on its way thru and we are expecting some really bad thunderstorms tonight. Wish I were in WDW.

The Christmas decorations just keep popping up all over town.

My neighbor just bought one. He's decided that it's going to "travel" the neighborhood, just like the pink flamingos. I told the painter that he could get one down from the roof while he was up there. I think it was in retaliation for the one I left in my neighbor's shower while he was away, which was in retaliation for the one that I found looking in my bedroom window when I returned from vacation, which was in retaliation for the one that he found sitting on the toilet when he got home (at 2AM) ...you get the idea.

My kind of neighborhood! Sounds like alot of fun!

The weather here today will be warm. High of 80. The, the rest of the week will be low 60's. No wonder everyone around here is sick.

Oh, I know about kids and antibiotics. :hurl:

My son seemed to be sick with ear infection after ear infection last winter season. We went thru Amoxicillan, Zithromax and Augmentin. Poor kid had no appetite for weeks.

Hope she feels better. Send her here, it's going to be 74 degrees and sunny. :D But tomorrow only 55. :brick:

I've had one little one (under 2) on antibiotics ONE TIME... I would pay serious amounts of money for that to never happen again. I honestly had to hold her arms down and put the medicine in her mouth, then hold her mouth shut, apologizing the whole time, lol. I felt like such a meanie! :( Then there were the eardrops.... AAAAAAAAARGH!

Yep, I went through that alot with Ashley. :( It always broke my heart to have to sit on her and hold her mouth shut. I'd usually have to hold her nose too so she's swallow it. :(

People without children are probably thinking we're terrible, terrible people right now. :lookaroun

But any mom/dad worth their salt knows where you are coming from. Had Lil'mermaid on antibiotics for a full year...getting her to take them wasn't bad, it was the 4 people holding her down to take the monthly blood tests that were the worst. She could be heard screaming in the parking lot! Its tough when they are little and don't quite understand. :(

(as a geriatric nurse I can tell you its not easy getting meds into that end of the spectrum either!! )

Hope everybody is feeling fit soon.

Morning all!

Its a balmy 55 degrees out, but the wind is blowing at 25 mph!
I can hear the stuff hitting the house as I type. The cold front has slowed down and didn't move thru last night as expected, but it looks like its on its way now.

Hi all!

It's 6AM and 64 out, but that cold front should move our way tonight, with lows in the 40s expected tomorrow morning. I hope it doesn't move in during the day...I feel so guilty when that happens! The high was in the low 80s yesterday, so my son wore shorts and short sleeved shirt. That's also the expected high today, IF the front doesn't move in until tonight. If it hits earlier, he'll be a bit cool. ;)

Good morning all!!!

Ashey is all better now and is going back to school today. Yay! :sohappy:

Don't you just hate the weather this time of year? It's so hard to know how to dress the kids. It was 80 yesterday and today the high will be 57. Like I said before, no wonder everyone is sick.

Ahhhhhhhhh, the weather! BLEH! We got the big windstorm here last night, so all my raking I did yesterday needs to be done again. :( Still blowing here, but not so bad. It's chilly, too... 35 right now. Anyway, my sick baby is doing better BECAUSE HER EARDRUM BURST LAST NIGHT! :( Poor kid. She didn't even complain to me that much, but this morning she got up and there was... stuff on her ear (yuck!) and she was feeling much better. According to my pediatrician, the way to treat an ear infection in Europe is to let them burst like that. I suppose it does keep them off the antibiotics for two weeks, if you could keep them out of pain. Anyway, I have no plans for the day except to meet with Mallory's kindergarten teacher for our conference this afternoon. Should be, ummmmmm, interesting. :lookaroun

Have a good one!

Ear infections are the worst! The only good thing is that they outgrow them. Hope your little one feel fine soon.

The temp is falling here...down to 46 and the wind is really blowing (29mph right now). Had to pull 4 big branches off the car to take my little to the bus...4 block is just too much to walk in this weather.
If we wait a little longer we won't have to rake any leaves...they'll just blow away (along with half the stuff in my yard).
The birds are working the feeders like crazy so I know its going to be cold tonight.

Time for another cup of tea (just got a Bodum tea press & it makes the best tea) and do al litt newspaper reading here on line.
