Nah. The best thing to happen to Star Wars in the past 20 years is getting him away from the franchise.

He would probably invite them to Camp David to try to broker a treaty between the Empire and the Rebels, only to be undermined by a hostage crisis created by Jaba the Hutt that undermines his presidency, ultimately helping to usher in a new world order when a cowboy president from among the rebels is elected. Then he would retire to build "Habit for Aliens" housing among the disaffected.
Less than 24 hours now! Can't wait and found out a bit ago that my boss picked up tix for all of us for the Friday 11:40 showing too.
So I'll get two viewings in 24 hours, one in IMAX 3D and the other in 2D right before nine days in WDW.

Last time I checked, it was 95% positive on RottenTonatoes. That's good enough for me. My tickets are purchased for Saturday and luckily, that theatre has reserved seating so no need to get there 9 hours early. People in NYC are already camped out in lines for the first seats.
Reviews look good so far, pre sales are historic and even my wife is interested in seeing TFA now.
If the movie holds up to the hype it is going to be epic. Various sites are circulating $120M or more in pre sales so far, theaters are expanding the showings to accommodate demand with showings early in the morning and in some cases until 2:00AM or later.
All this and really no competition on the horizon spells a highly successful run at a potential top 5 of all time.

I posted this in another thread and perhaps it's already well known among people here, but just in case anyone wasn't aware- Don't visit the IMDB board for this movie. It's been full of unmarked spoilers in the titles of threads, and the rest of the threads are predominantly fake negative reviews from white male supremacists.

I usually don't do that because the IMDB message boards border YouTube and ESPN comments sections in their stupidity.

Master Yoda, I have to say I cannot wait to hear your review. If you decide not to post one here, I would love to see a PM.
I am taking students from my youth group tonight, so it will be their first time seeing a Star Wars film in the theatres with all the hoopla. They are boiling over with excitement.
I will probably throw up something in the spoiler thread @sshindel started, but to be honest, my reviews are not all that compelling as I tend to like everything. It takes a really, really bad movie to get my dander up.

As for me, I won't see it until Tuesday matinee with my hubs while our kids are in school. Too much holiday stuff this weekend and I'd rather avoid the masses.

Hello all! I'm at a movie theater now in Tel Aviv, Israel with Dolby Atmos sound. SWTFA in 3D starts in 15 mins here. Curiously, there's like no one here yet!
