New trend is Moana so Moana Watercruiser would be the failure that Disney is looking for.Xandar Starcruiser
Yeah there were a couple of plans for hotels inside the park. A couple of them were absolutely crazy.
Should we form a summoning circle so an architect who worked on it posts concepts on their portfolio?Yeah there were a couple of plans for hotels inside the park. A couple of them were absolutely crazy.
Found it!! It's going up right next to SSE!!...Should we form a summoning circle so an architect who worked on it posts concepts on their portfolio?
I think it was stated some might have even occupied the heart of Future World, though it's hard to imagine how that would have worked.Crazy like, Mira Costa crazy or crazy like, we think these permanently anchored barges in world showcase lagoon can be hidden by water fountains, crazy?
yeah... one really crazy guy had the idea of an entire experimental community inside the parkYeah there were a couple of plans for hotels inside the park. A couple of them were absolutely crazy.
For your consideration
Wouldn’t they want to connect this to the park? This is the area they seemed to have been leaning towards. Permits were filed to clear and prep the land for future development.

I am sure access to the park from any resort is deliberately designed to be controlled and the fewer access points be better the control. So to build a resort right next to the park, with a close up and personal view of the park, is not a new idea then just funnel the guests to an existing access point to get in or out of the park.Wouldn’t they want to connect this to the park?
A walk from the edge of that cleared space to the security checkpoints, following the same path as bus guests, is a lot shorter than the walk from the edge of the GF to MK and also shorter than the walk from the Contemporary to MK. So, that could work.I am sure access to the park from any resort is deliberately designed to be controlled and the fewer access points be better the control. True. But if building a new hotel at a monorail endpoint I'd like a protected walk over to the trains. At BLT or CR you also have the option of getting on the resort loop to ride around to MK or get to Epcot without a long walk past the bus drop off points.A walk from the edge of that cleared space to the security checkpoints, following the same path as bus guests, is a lot shorter than the walk from the edge of the GF to MK and also shorter than the walk from the Contemporary to MK. Covered moving sidewalks / walkways (pedestrian movers)? many airports have them so its not like it cannot be done.True. Now if they had a short skyliner route to the front security gate or back to the IG I'd be all over it. I just don't like having to walk farther than the people who drove in if I'm paying a premium to stay within walking distance. Hell, even a regular tram/shuttle from the front of the hotel would do the trick.
IMO the staging lot would be the best place for a hotel, if not for the sightlines. The spot off to the side would give decent fireworks viewing and no be as obtrusive to people watching the SSE lights at night on their way out.

That would be very cool! The part by the monorail station could be elevated retail and dining that expands over to the actual hotel.Best possible scenario would be for the hotel to actually span the monorail tracks at the station but have the building designed to allow the big view... and not too tall... very linear... and right at the entrance...
