I'm not sure if this has been posted already, but Jason Surrell has made another book based on all disney mountains, (Space,Splash,BTMR,JTTCOTE,EE and some never built (Western River, Big Rock Candy) It looks like an awfully interesting read. It officially comes out on September 1, but you can pre-order it on Amazon.

Ummm...since it was built inside a mountain? The word "mountain" doesn't have to be in the attraction name (see: Everest).

Yep. Dave Koenig's new book. An east-coast Mouse Tales. Buy it.

To answer several questions/points all at once...

- don't worry about the age level on the book. I think Amazon sees "Disney" and automatically assumes "kid." It's happened before with other grown-up Disney books.

- Alcorn book: "Building a Better Mouse" by Steve Alcorn. Former Imagineer in electrical engineering/ dept 510. One of the many who built the computer infrastructure of EPCOT Center. Lots of pre-opening war stories. He sent me an advance for an interview I did with him, and I just had to buy the hard copy after that. Great interview, great guy. I invited him to Celebration 25.

- Realityland. I had it on Amazon pre-order, but cancelled it after Laughingplace offered a special advance on it that would let you get it before the release date for a few bucks more. It was supposed to ship on July 19. Still waiting. :lookaroun

Not neccesarily pertinent, but out of fairness to LP... just an update to say that the Realityland book I ordered from LP has now shipped. Didn't want to not update and have it look like they left me hanging.

Interesting...I'd like to know more about it as well... And surely the name "Mountain with all the stairs" was not going to be the official name...correct?

No, I'm sure it had another name.
"Mountain with all the Stairs" is how it was described to me by the person who gave me that photo quite some time ago. Honestly...I have no idea what that is. I'll do some asking....Give me a few hours.

Not a problem; Amazon.com will deliver to the UK, and with the current £/$ it is not a bad deal :D

 No kidding! I was in Germany a few weeks ago and I dreaded exchanging money. It was awful. At least it's not like Latvian currency though. I had to give 2 USD to get one of theirs.
