I'm just gonna say, if anyone is that uncomfortable, then it's probably best to not talk about the topic. But, I'm fine with varied chit-chat.Well as a host of this thread I have the power to dictate what is appropriate and what is not. As does @IDInstitute
I deem this inappropriate.
I'm just going to say this now, and back out of this conversation as quickly as I can. It's a discussion thread. We can discuss whatever we please
I was just reading through this quickly at first and thought you said "I like onions, you don't know that about who I am"That's insanely creepy and alarming because I only use this username for this forum and there's not much you can tell about me from a topic specific website. I'm like an onion; I have multiple layers to who I am.
Sounds superb to me.My advice? Drop it.
We're gonna get the thread locked if it continues this direction.
Dey good in rice. Spanish onions diced up. Nom nom. However, as far onions go....
I have grown to like them. I usually only really put them on cheeseburgers, and only like raw onions. I don't like cooked onions that much.
Excellent on a burger or with a flat iron steak treated au poivre with a beef gravy.I love caramelized onions...om nom nom!

I totally agree with Spacemt, to be perfectly honest. It's not illegal, but I do feel that it's incredibly unethical to take the time to find the identity of an anonymous forum user solely to prove a point. As a community, we should be trusting of each other. Inappropriate for this thread or not, this whole situation really should not have even come to light, to be perfectly honest. I honestly think that something like this would really just further alienate new members.
In no way am I trying to condemn Voxel, though it may appear as though I am, as I truly respect him as a person and an armchair imagineer. I just really feel that actively searching for the identity of these two people to prove a point is entirely unethical.
That's my two cents. Take it as you will.
I'm assuming that's caramel. (It's the only thing that I think looks like that liquid) I also don't like caramel it's too sweet for me.
I like caramel in little box-chocolates and things like that (OOoohh, and Munson's Salted Caramel Chocolate fudge, ), but in things like caramel apples I'm not quite the fan.I'm assuming that's caramel. Not hard to do. Get a vidalia or other sweet onion, would be my recommendation. Slice thinly and add to a pan coated with about 3 tsp of olive oil and 3 tsp butter. Bring the pan to a simmer, add the onions, and saute over med-high for half an hour, adding a pinch of salt about 10 - 15 mins in, then lower the heat, add a splash of balsamic vinegar (this will help keep them from drying out...water works too) and then saute for another half hour or so, stirring every few mins.Hmm, I've never had caramelized onions! Interstin'!
Thanks @JokersWild
Is it something in the air the last few days? Just feels very on edge in these threads.
For the sake of these forums all you need to know about someone is what is on the left hand side of this post, and what they contribute to the threads. That's all. We are a community of people from around the globe that have at least one thing in common. Disney.
It's why we're here, it's what the point of this website it, and it's why we do these imagineering events.
We shouldn't be devolving into personal check-ups and to announce that they are being done on public thread pages. Nothing illegal about it. Just a little creepy to make public.
Look if there is something about me that people don't like, I will gladly take a back seat and let this competition go on. I've given all the ideas to @IDInstitute we've spent months working out all the kinks. There's really nothing left for me to do but host. If the community does not want that or feels it's not my place to do so, I will gladly fade into the shadows if that's what it takes to stop this kind of dialogue.
I used to caramelize onions in soda. It makes for something wonderful. Not hard to do. Get a vidalia or other sweet onion, would be my recommendation.
