The Creator Games!: An Imagineering Competition- Discussion Thread

It's a discussion thread. We can discuss whatever we please
I'm just going to say this now, and back out of this conversation as quickly as I can.

I totally agree with Spacemt, to be perfectly honest. It's not illegal, but I do feel that it's incredibly unethical to take the time to find the identity of an anonymous forum user solely to prove a point. As a community, we should be trusting of each other. Inappropriate for this thread or not, this whole situation really should not have even come to light, to be perfectly honest. I honestly think that something like this would really just further alienate new members.

In no way am I trying to condemn Voxel, though it may appear as though I am, as I truly respect him as a person and an armchair imagineer. I just really feel that actively searching for the identity of these two people to prove a point is entirely unethical.

That's my two cents. Take it as you will.

That's insanely creepy and alarming because I only use this username for this forum and there's not much you can tell about me from a topic specific website. I'm like an onion; I have multiple layers to who I am.
:pI was just reading through this quickly at first and thought you said "I like onions, you don't know that about who I am":p;)

I don't like onions  Cooked or raw.

Thanks @JokersWild

Is it something in the air the last few days? Just feels very on edge in these threads.

For the sake of these forums all you need to know about someone is what is on the left hand side of this post, and what they contribute to the threads. That's all. We are a community of people from around the globe that have at least one thing in common. Disney.

It's why we're here, it's what the point of this website it, and it's why we do these imagineering events.

We shouldn't be devolving into personal check-ups and to announce that they are being done on public thread pages. Nothing illegal about it. Just a little creepy to make public.

Look if there is something about me that people don't like, I will gladly take a back seat and let this competition go on. I've given all the ideas to @IDInstitute we've spent months working out all the kinks. There's really nothing left for me to do but host. If the community does not want that or feels it's not my place to do so, I will gladly fade into the shadows if that's what it takes to stop this kind of dialogue.

Hmm, I've never had caramelized onions! Interstin'!
Not hard to do. Get a vidalia or other sweet onion, would be my recommendation. Slice thinly and add to a pan coated with about 3 tsp of olive oil and 3 tsp butter. Bring the pan to a simmer, add the onions, and saute over med-high for half an hour, adding a pinch of salt about 10 - 15 mins in, then lower the heat, add a splash of balsamic vinegar (this will help keep them from drying out...water works too) and then saute for another half hour or so, stirring every few mins.

I don't think its you, I think things have just kicked off a bit, put people on edge, and that's caused more to kick off, escalating into big debates. For now, things seem to have settled again - hopefully that's the last of it and we can just get on with the competition...

I used to caramelize onions in soda. It makes for something wonderful.
