Awww.....that's horrible! But how can they keep them out when they aren't working? It's not like you can tell if someone is a CM just by looking at them if they aren't in uniform. Although, then I guess they'd have to buy tickets.

They can buy a ticket but can't use their CM ones

Time for a department meeting . . .

(In the interim, "ghost" files on your own private drive, as suggested I used to do. Even with an automatic shared drive backup each night, it doesn't hurt to keep files that have not been messed up yet, in your own location. I've worked on huge hospital procedure files, annual reports, etc., and I had one of the bosses mess up the files a few times. Were it not for some of my ghost files in backup, we would have been in duck soup.)

The particular file that I have stored on there has three years worth of reports on it. Thankfully I have the past ten months on my OneDrive. And IT backs up that drive nightly.

I saw that it was missing and was like, seriously?

We just need to get rid of shared drives at this point.

Wow. Yes, something has to be done -- get rid of them, or try to find out (via IT) whose logon was used to access the files . . .
