Thank you for the recipe. Just wondering if I could use the ginger that I bought in a bottle (McCormick) when I was making gingerbread cookies at Christmas. (I've seen real ginger in the store, but wouldn't have a clue what to do with it!) ;)
It tastes different than fresh. Go with the fresh. It is easy to use. You can peel or not peel it. Dice it up and that's all there is to it.

Yep, she turned 15 months old on Saturday. I'm so glad she loves the bear too...!!!!! :inlove::happy:
And, pretty sure I’ve posted this before, but, she has my old well-loved Teddy Bear as well...!!!!! :hilarious::)

Yes about her bein' under the weather. She came down with type B flu shortly after Christmas, thus no church outfit pics for the last 2 Sundays. Poor little girl battled it for quite a while, but, is now obviously (bear pics ;)), thankfully, feelin' much better...!!! :)

Alright, somewhat of an update on b-ball. Just got our tourney schedule for the weekend.

T has 6 games Fri-Sun between b-ball (tourney& reg season) and soccer, 3 of each.

He has to skip either soccer or basketball for one game on Saturday.

His new basketball practice time is also in direct conflict with soccer practice, which is what the discussion last night was about...he picked b-ball at that time.

I spoke to a director at the soccer club, and T can train with another team on a different night. Problem somewhat solved there.

Now back to the tourney this weekend.. I asked T if he wants to skip one of the b-ball games and do his first Winter2 game with his soccer team.. here was his reply just now-

ā€œMom, I went outside and practiced b-ball for 90 minutes today. We set up soccer cones and dribbled the basketball around. ā€˜ B’(an older friend who plays AAU) graded my moves. Then I went and practiced layups and 1 on 1 attacking and defending. I’m going to dribble again before bed tonight, and I’m going to do the same thing tomorrow. My coach is going to see the difference on Wednesday at practice, and I KNOW that I’m going to play more in the games this weekend. I have to choose basketball so he can see how serious I am. .ā€

I swear to cookie dough.. if my kid sits again in 3 games this weekend I am not responsible for the phone call I’ll make on Sunday evening. I don’t want to dissuade T from what he’s doing. The problem is not that he’s a bad player, HE ISN’T, he’s just average or maybe a little above.. but he’s not select-level basketball, and this dedication isn’t going to make him so before the season’s over. He’s improving each day., and has been.. that should be important.

OMG ... that's advanced. :jawdrop:

Honestly I've used both. The fresh is definitely more flavorful but both taste good

You have one heck of an ambitious and determined kid. More power to him!
