That is like me with my bald spot. I started to have hair loss when I was 19 or 20. I did not shave my head, but I am not embarrassed by it either. I just let it take its course naturally. It is a genetic thing.

Both male sides of the family do have bald spots. My dad has a bald spot and has no problem with hid own. We wear hats or use sun tan lotion on bald spot.

indeed about letting it take its course naturally...
No balding here, just the gray hair thing. Although, if I was balding too I wouldn’t care...I’ve never been that vain, and I’m definitely too old to be that vain now...!!! ;) :)

@ajrwdwgirl , has your hubbie written his Christmas sermon yet? I figure your church is about the same as mine -- tons of people that you've never seen before, magically "appear" at Christmas services. So I was just thinking that he probably has to tweak his sermon to connect with a broader audience. Usually, Christmas sermons are always upbeat, anyway.

I’m pretty sure I’ve posted this before, but, we had an assistant priest from India several years ago that gave a midnight mass Christmas sermon that was really good. He started out by sayin’... “Many people are only in a church 3 times in their life...when they are hatched, matched, and dispatched. I appreciate all of you here who are not part of that trend!”...!!!!! :hilarious:
Needless to say (but I’m gonna’ anyway ;)), that broke the ice, and the rest of his sermon was awesome...!!!!!

He write his Christmas sermon around Thanksgiving. He likes to be ahead in his sermon prep. He does say that he feels a lot of pressure to give a good sermon on Christmas and Easter when some of the infrequent members show up. Even though it is written he’ll probably tweek it a little in the next couple days. But it will be good, he is very talented with his sermons. And I’m not just saying that because he is my husband. He never reads his sermons (doesn’t even hold his sermon on paper anymore) or is stilted behind the pulpit, he actually never stands behind the pulpit. His sermons are about 7 minutes in length so they keep peoples attention and often uses humor to get the message across. I hate long sermons that get repetitive, when a preacher keeps droning on and on I get bored and tune out. But anyway, both services should be crowded. That’s why I have hubs reserve my spot too!🙂

Helps to have connections . . . :joyfull:

P.S.: I'm all for 7 minute sermons. I'll never understand why some go on forever -- talk about "losing" one's audience . . .

Yes, bison is good. I always buy it (packaged, in the grocery store) and use it for meatloaf, instead of ground beef.
Have only eaten bison once an WDW Jiko restaurant and it was excellent --do you only use it in meatloaf? what do bison burgers on the grill taste like. Have eaten plenty of venison (bunch in the freezer and mix ground venison with cheap ground beef only because of the low fat content of the venison makes good burgers on the grill. I'll have to tell the wife to look for it next time she goes grocery shopping
