The Christmas Eve menu is now set. Clam Chowder, salad nicoise, sautéed sardines, shrimp cocktail, salmon cakes or grilled fillets depending on weather with aioli, fish and chips and mussels in spicy tomato sauce and pasta with marinara. Cookies and wine to follow

@ajrwdwgirl I just saw a article about how the Disneyland express airport shuttle is shutting down. Weren't you just talking with someone about recommending that shuttle?

No not that shuttle. I recommended a private company called Lansky. I've never used the Disneyland Express, I looked into it but I prefer private shuttles or an Uber.

Gracious, you folks are making me appreciate my family more and more. Problems and upsets, of course, but I taught them to swallow all their frustrations and just put up with each other at least until I'm dead and then they can pull out each others hair. At that point, it will not be my problem. In the meantime ulcer problems are covered under their insurance policies.

I'm sure my aunt didn't actually let Grandma know that she was mad, but she needed to vent.

My family is so full of drama. Mom's side, well, let's see, we called her mother the Wicked Witch of the West and we weren't the only ones, my uncle has an ex-wife who we learned gets called Crazy Ann at work (not from a family member), there's the cousin who ran off and eloped with her boyfriend and moved to Colorado without telling the family, the cousin who is a heroin addict...and then we can get to Dad's side of the family...

Just looked at the weather map cold today high of 54 lots of rain tomorrow coming up from the Gulf glad I finished my Christmas shopping yesterday. Wife made a big pot of chicken noodle soup yesterday --will go well with a cold rainy day

We're having hot dogs!

Curious what brand of hot dogs people eat. I have suffered with indigestion since I was in my twenties I found that Hebrew Nation hot dogs don't bother my stomach like most other brands. Might be they have less fat or better quality meat

Hebrew National are very good -- they have a lower fat version which I like. (They also have another even more fat free one, but I don't think the taste is as good. Gotta have some fat at least, you know?!)
