That’s the one I ate, but, it was actually cinnamon and the holly berries were Red Hots...!!!!!
Also, I’m not guilty of eating the 3 missing donuts...a few others finally showed up (some in obvious pain ) and they got ‘em...!!!
I was finished with my deadline, and up on my hours by about 11:30a, so was able to bolt then...9.5 days off...!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If any of my kids decides to go into architecture or design, I am sending you their resume! That's a place I would want them working at.

Lucky indeed, always thankful, and never take it for granted. We work our beeeeeeehinds off and there is definitely a lot of pressure, but, we’re well-rewarded for our efforts...!!!!!
And yes, the floors a very nice in that hotel...!!!

It really is for him. He still has to have his business phone with him in case someone needs something. Everyone in his group is off the same time.
We will visit with our DD and SIL and my fav grand-doggie. Otherwise, some quiet time for the two of us.

Staying home. We have family coming to visit for a few days. So, it will be pretty low key.

It’s so crazy now...!!!!!!!
When we moved back to Texas 43+ years ago, we were out in the boondocks, now the city has swallowed us up...I don’t even recognize certain parts of the outskirts of town I haven’t been to for a while...!!!!! One RM road (Ranch to Market) had only one light on it at one intersection and was only a 2-lane, shoulderless road back in ‘76 for about 20 straight miles between where it started north and ended south, there was only one traffic light where it intersected with the main highway, towards the lake...now it’s several lanes each way and they’re talkin’ about flyovers and such...it just blows my mind how our little, sleepy Austin has changed over the years...!!!!!!!

My grandma went to SC to spend a few days with my aunt and her kids before we all go to Hilton Head. I texted my aunt yesterday and mentioned I'd talked to her to my parents. My dad said, "Is Grandma driving her crazy yet?" No, she didn't mention Grandma.

This morning I get a text from my aunt. "Do you know what your Grandmother did?"

Apparently, she made soup out of leftover mashed potatoes. My grandma is a really, really bad cook, so it was not good and my aunt was mad. Also, she and my aunt have the same phone, both with black phone cases, so she keeps picking up my aunt's phone thinking it's hers, so my aunt texted me and then deleted the conversation.

People at work were probably wondering what was so funny...

The Christmas Eve menu is now set. Clam Chowder, salad nicoise, sautéed sardines, shrimp cocktail, salmon cakes or grilled fillets depending on weather with aioli, fish and chips and mussels in spicy tomato sauce and pasta with marinara. Cookies and wine to follow

Gracious, you folks are making me appreciate my family more and more. Problems and upsets, of course, but I taught them to swallow all their frustrations and just put up with each other at least until I'm dead and then they can pull out each others hair. At that point, it will not be my problem. In the meantime ulcer problems are covered under their insurance policies.
