@BuddyThomas , I started to watch the Rockefeller Center holiday show on TV last night (musical entertainment, and lighting of the huge Christmas tree). But I fell asleep early (I had done a lot of snow shoveling yesterday). So I missed most of the show. :banghead:

Yet, I know it's a big touristy thing, and you probably stay miles away from this event every year! ;) I did see a statistic that about 798,000 people a day visit Rockefeller Plaza between Thanksgiving and Christmas! :jawdrop:
Dh and I tried to see the lighting one year when we were in school in Manhattan. We couldn't get within 2 blocks of the tree. It was ridiculous. I couldn't understand why people would just pack themselves on a street that didn't even have a view of the tree. We left. Went to see it on another day.

B and I very seriously considered coming down this weekend for Rise of the Resistance. But I didn't want to miss work and my parents didn't want him missing school, so we'll wait for February.

Have fun!
You probably ended saving yourself a bunch of headaches.. the news of the attraction going down harder and faster than Avatar's rides are cringe to see.

Doubtful we will even attempt. By 830 am all slots were filled. This trip was booked back in March as a safeguard a resort room in case StarWarsland opened. Then half opened Labor Day weekend and oddly phase two this weekend. Arg.

Had catarac surgery on my left eye yesterday and the right eye next week. Won't be able to do much for the next 2 weeks and the wife knows how I hate to sit and do nothing. She surprised me by signing up for the Disney streaming service so I can watch and not be so miserable stuck in the house. Knew she was a keeper when I married her 42 years ago.
Continued good luck and a little FYI Disney+ can be addicting;)
