That's really awesome for her! And getting a disney fan for a desk mate to boot... what
more could you ask for... 7 moniters is ridiculous.... I see some people with 3 or 4 here... I can only deal with one at a time. I guess I'm oldschool!

Subaru's have a good reputation for lasting a long time... I'm sure she's loving it!

Well thank you so much. :inlove: She will get the title of Engineer added upon her masters graduation, meanwhile she is a Computer Scientist as she already has her undergrad+
She had been at the University she worked for (not the same as the one she is earning her masters, she is picky) for just under 5 years. She is young given she graduated with a double major and a minor in 3.5 years for her undergrad similar to @StarWarsGirl Both of them had a different approach to many in college, including my son who had the time of his life while earning his degree. He came out the backside with an awesome career but boy did he have fun along the way, giggle.

My DD had a further goal of wanting to earn things on her own. She wants a home and possibly a kid someday. But she is an independent little thing, since she was a little squirt. She has always said she will not willingly put herself in a position to need a man to provide those things for her. I told her stories of buying my first new car, a mustang myself, buying my first Condo on my own earnings before I was 25. I had a formal education and assets before I married or had children. It seemed to have stuck cause she is in a firm that hires women in a land of men. Her new boss told her last week that he admired her holding out, demanding what she was worth vs settling for what they continued to originally offer as a 'stepping stone.' He then went on to tell her she was special as she was the first person he was allowed to hire from 'the outside' in 5 years as they promote from within. He told her it was a win for him and a win for her.

I have free Netflix so technically I have never paid for Netflix.

I actually like Netflix. I don't need sports options, not my thing. Disney I love something and others not so much. The ones I love I have DVDs for or downloads. My son said he was given a year free for Apple as he bought a new iPad in September without knowing there would be a free Apple+ so kinda a bonus to see if he likes. We all 'share' our Hulu, Netflix and Amazon Prime subscriptions within our family similar to our AAA, Sams Club and Costco. While all independent adults we see the value of 'cost sharing.'

My Sis gets Netflixs free as a perk for her T Mobil cell account. My DD gets a Student Discount for Netflixs as a University of Illinois Alumni along with a good slash in her cell bill from ATT and is afforded a large discount on Apple purchases. Sharing our blessings has helped.

I can! Going to it on the 17th. I saw that, and it may be on my list!! Looks good!

Yep. Going. As much as I adore Orange Bird and ya all know I do, I'm more excited about the Chip and Dale magnets.

We will go again in December. Our 4th trip since September. Living by example of @Tuvalu.

All my summer clothes are packed away:(:(:( and my winter stuff is out of storage, laundered and ready to wear. I'm ready for summer again I don't like the cold!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nothing makes me happier than putting away all the yucky summer clothes and taking out all the fun falll/winter clothing!!! I usually do that the 2nd week of October. So many more options in winter clothing, like layers and lots of colors and designs -- easy to mix and match up many different looks. :)

Hulu is going over the weekend so we can bundle
I wonder if their site will crash (Disney +), with everyone wanting to sign up on day one.

Hopefully we will get a winter thaw in January or February for a couple of days. Maybe Spring weather will actually start in March? One can hope. The sun was still warm yesterday. It was shining brightly on the back deck, so I sat outside and soaked it in will I could.

I think that is wonderful, however that last sentence bothers me a little. Having been in a corporate world and management for most of my life, back then that was code for don't let me down along with "the future of women here is riding on your shoulders". That's a lot of pressure for someone just starting out, but I'm sure, from what you said, she can handle it. Best of luck to her!

Yes, ma'am... it's always a good idea to look good when they find you frozen in a snowbank! 🥶

Looks like we may getting some borderline freezing temps next week. Guess it's time to move the Key lime, Myer Lemon, and 2 orange trees I have in pots into the green house. Key lime and lemon tree are loaded with fruit just about ready to pick, one orange tree is loaded with blossoms. Off to the eye doc for cataract eye surgery evaluation, hope to have it done after Thanksgiving

Oh my. Hope all goes well with your eye doctor appt. I know a number of people who have had cataract surgery and it worked for all. (Recovery time varies. One of our favorite posters here, @Goofyernmost , had his eyes done.)

You're not the only one wondering about how much traffic it can handle day one. I'm wondering the same thing when tech sites have been posting about the amount of people planning on switching to Disney+ and/or HBO max and if Netflix will survive it

Hoping for a major thaw next week, won't get one but a girl can hope

Prayers and pixie dust and all go well and after the holidays if you can wait that long

What major thaw? It's only November -- nothing to thaw out yet! :D
