Just had one of those recorded phone advisories from Eversource -- indicating possibility of power outages due to high wind gusts tonight. :cautious:
I just checked my company's outage map and knock wood nothing close to me yet but the spotty ones that are showing up have a 4 to 5 hour estimated wait time for restoration. My heat is turned up and I have enough food until Monday. Monday if I keep it under lock and key:banghead:

I was just asked why I bought so many bags of candy. Me: "Oh, you never know how many kids will come by." ;)

(I say that every year.) :p

Although I'm certain there will be some bags left over at the end of the night, I'll make sure that some bags are still sealed. Last year, my church started a leftover candy collection from parishoners, and those bags were donated to military service personnel. (Might have been USO -- not sure, but anyway the church took care of it.)

While the City I live in is done with Trick or treating this year, the suburbs got theirs delayed till Saturday due to the Snow today.

The city I live in has a record of snow on Halloween. It has over 5 inches of snow and more is expected. Before today, the most snow the city got on Halloween was 0.4 back in 1926. There are areas that got even more from this snow storm with even with over 7 inches of snow today.

Here the bad weather comes. The rain is pouring and wind has kicked up a lot. No trick or treating. Kids are sad. Here I am thinking that I wasted money on candy again this year. Beat by mother nature and a stubborn town council or whoever makes these decisions.
Do you have Hershey season passes yet? You could always go up there this weekend and they can rewear their costumes.

My dog is constantly barking now -- trick or treaters coming to the front door. (He hates them.) :hilarious:

Not great weather here (windy and some rain), but we've had 40 or so trick-or-treaters so far and the goblins have only been out and about for an hour. Probably going to run out of treat bags and have to resort to the candy and toy buckets before the night is through. So hard to estimate. Last year had a few extra treat bags left over.

So the rain stopped at exactly 6, which is the beginning of trick or treat. Dh and I drove around our development, which is like a spiral, so the kids wouldn’t need to walk with the thunderstorm potential. Not too many houses had lights on. There are only about 30 houses in our small development. Only 9 houses had lights on not including ours. The kids managed to get to 7 before the next deluge came. They were happy though because they got to trick or treat. They also did really well. Our kids were the only ones out so I think they just had candy dumped on them.

Something similar happen on Sunday. Next Door neighbor was passing out candy, but dog was in backyard. The dog heard the trick or treaters and was barking constantly.

As far as tonight goes, I'm not having any candy. I am saving Halloween Candy for when all my dental work is done. I had dental work that took 3 hours. I have more work done in 2 weeks.

No we don’t. We did the Hersheypark in the dark last year. The company owns the candy factory and they gave each kid one bar of something at like 7 stations I think. Funny thing is is that I remember not one was a Hershey Bar! My kids thought it was lane. We will do Candylane instead. It’s only $22 a person O think with their current special.
